maybe the religion to which he converts has certain rules of acceptance....

Code Red, i am not certain whether there is anything ‘precise’ that needs to be done, unless the religion that one is converting to - requires it (as Armughal pointed out first).
i think it is better a country remains 100% of one religen instead of
three religens of 30% each. all three will be fighting and killing eacxh other .
They are talking of changing religion as if to change a political party. In a broader sense there is no difference.....
Mine is bettter than yours, and most of all my God is better than yours, and wait, may be tomorrow I will be in your party........

i am not so certain about that. 
Realistically speaking, no country can ever be “100%” of one religion. And even individuals of the same religion can find reasons to fight amongst each other.
I do not want to insult any religon. there are many good ppl in every religons. But nowadays religons are cuasing more hatred then anything else. In my oppinion there are five major religon in world.
1 Christianity
2 islam
3 Hinduism
4 Budhism
5 jews
Budhism is the best religon in my humble oppinion.:)

Budhism hardly has any laws and rules. There is no concept of hell and heaven and the end of this earth. There is no concept of stopping the evil by force when necessary, so how can peace be ensured?
In Budhism if you do good deeds you are reborn as a human again and if you do bad deeds in life (which nobody is free of) you end up being reborn as a dog or something else.
It is a good idea to study all the religions deeply. You will surely find out, If God shows guidance, which religion is the right one. Do also consider if at all any religion is needed!
By the way, Islam is the fastest growing religion! (6.4% in 1994-95 according to U.N.)
COde Red, there is nothing wrong with your questions. God comes in many forms and through many paths. Anyone who tells you that their path is the most righteous or the only “true” path or that other paths are inferior is suffering from serious insecurities. Buddhism is indeed wonderful, if that helps you be spiritual, then by all means go for it. :k:

How do you convert? Just watch Seinfeld (George Castansa converting to Judaism in particular) - at least you'll have a few laughs.
Truth is, if you're converting OUT of a religion because you're unhappy with it, you're just treating the symptom - the cause is always you and unless you change, just changing your religion is of no real consequence. You just go to a different temple, you call God by a different name and you just get disappointed by a different set of expectations.
Now there is a slightly more advanced (i.m.o) line of thinking, where if you are able to dissociate God and Religion (like many Hindus and Bhuddhists can), then you're looking to religion not as script and law that governs your life but rather represents a collection of guidelines, parameters and knowledge....then ofcourse, it is easy to change religion ... in that respect it simply is trying one method instead of another
Yes…Buddhism is nice, but I like Daoism the best…Some of the things are so amazingly ‘Islamic’ it makes your wonder about the 124,000 prophets…(Was Lao-Tze one?) …Anyways, if you are interested in Islam, read a few books…Make sure it’s not Ahmediya or NOI stuff…

Buddhism is an atheist religion. It has no God. That is another thing that many Buddhists have created a God out of Buddha.
Buddhism is the only religion that does not preach violence. It does not see enmity. Unlike many of the religions that first explain you the character of your enemy, and provoke you to kill him…give you a license to kill.
One cannot become a Hindu or Jew as per his wish.
One can join Buddhism, Christianity or Islam.
One can come out of Buddhism, Hinduism, Jewish or Christianity.
One cannot come out of Islam.
Islam is the fastest growing religion. They do not agree but the only reason behind is the fast growing birth rate among Muslims. In West they are about to occupy second place is an outcome of fast growing migration rate.
Problem is something else. Whenever we have discussed Islam, or the aspect of Islam in present atmosphere….mostly they many of these scholars have obliged us that majority of Muslims is not following the guidelines of Islam.
What they are proud of (the fastest growing rate.)?
