It would help to read the posts sequentially in order to understand what the debate is about…
The debate is because I disagree with PD’s asserstion thata majority of Muslims who stayed back in India in 1947 wanted to move to Pakistan, but were unable to do so. I had asked PD to provide data to support this assertion which he did not/was unable to.
My POV is that while most of those who wanted to move, did in fact move. There might be some that wanted to move but could not but that number was certainly not a majority of the Indian muslim population in 1947.
