Its not that I don’t want to believe you, but there has to be something better than your opinion to make a valid arguement out of this point I have personally known many Indian Muslims and they made the choice to stay in India. Infact in many cases, part of the family moved to Pak and the rest chose to stay behind.

I would definitely want to discuss this further if you have valid data/facts to back it up, but in the absence of facts its tough to believe anything.

You don’t have to believe me or anybody else…and yes you are right, it is not my opinion that matters…:)… but i realize that you conveniently ignored the quantitative portion of my post in which I did provide verified election results for 1946 and the premises based on which those elections took place…now to me, that is a good starting point for someone who wants to get to the bottom of this issue…..isn’t it? You dont have to do it tonight but it would be worthwhile to read some good history books from hereon…as you said,it is not your opinion or my opinion or opinion of some families whom you happen to know over the years matters…I am sure there will be many families who decided to live in India by their own choice but there are many more who did not and I was trying to inculcate historical context into discussion by giving some data…and how Indian Muslims voted in those critical elections..
