This is a true story. An uncle of mine (dad’s cousin) who was in the army got posted to Panu Akil (a remote area in Sindh) and was given a house in a relatively isolated part of the Cantt. The whole family swears by it, after they had moved in…they used to find their family members at awkward moments.
Like their daughter went to the kitchen around midnight and found her dad sitting in the lounge vaguely when he was almost always asleep by 10. Then the uncle’s wife remembers just talking to her husband in their room and goes downstairs to find him sitting in the garden. But the creepiest and somewhat a funny part (now as they recall is) when their younger son who was 10 witnessed it. Uncle was sitting in the lounge watching tv.. it was around maghrib. Their son went out in the lawn to get his ball that he had been playing with and comes crying saying ‘Baba I just saw you sitting in your uniform outside on the trash drum’
Everyone was shocked and they ran outside to indeed catch a glimpse of that duplicate of uncle disappear after a second or so. They all got scared and immediately decided to move. Somebody later told them, that there was this jinn who used to take the man of the family’s shakal just to annoy them but didn’t mean any harm!
Ya are saying “if” this is true..yo it happened front of my eyes. I was traumatized and got better afta year or so. But eventually Alhamdulli’llah..i don’t get scared anymore. Another i witness such incident when i used to reside in different province here in Canada. So it was dars time afta Isha prayer. I decided to stay..and while i was there. While dars was given..this guy who had jinns in him along with two fellas who brought him to us. And exorcism was done on him right there and then. And eventually yo..jinn left.
Eni, you might remember I shared a story like this in my blog too that a friend of mine told me about. His mother was ironing clothes in the hallway and saw him heading towards the door. She asked him where he was going at this hour of the night. He looked at her, smiled, and went out the door. Anti went straight to uncle’s room and told him to go check on their son outside. Seconds later, they found him fast asleep in his bedroom. To this day, I never fully believed it, thought anti must have been hallucinating or something because she was sleepy or tired or whatever.
I can just imagine that evil grin the jinn gave her … they must think its hilarious to mess with people’s minds.
My SIL told me that when she was younger, her cousins used to come and play with her a lot. One day, they were both upstairs in her room, and the cousin went down to get a drink or something, then saw my SIL going down the stairs with her back turned, wearing the same clothes but instead of her hair down, it was up in a bun. She was going down and the cousin kept calling her name and saying 'oi, where you going' and followed her down, down, down into the cellar. In the cellar is another set of stairs to a deeper cellar, thank god she didn't go any deeper. But when she got there, the cellar was empty and she started screaming.
My SIL meanwhile was sitting upstairs the whole time, came running down and said 'what's the matter!' and her cousin said 'I just saw you going down the stairs'.
there is nothing supernatural exist in this world. genies and satan were created from fire and they also fear from human. if you talk more about genie they will definitely track you and will start bothering you. these are the words which I heard in one khutba (dedicated to this topic)

Yes, it doesn't say explicitly but this is what the scholars have gathered from different incidents in various ahadith. Also even when they take human shape there is always some flaw in it...like the jinn with feet like dog's paws in one hadith who tried to steal a sahabi's dates.
Also according to some traditions queen of Sheba was half jinn and had hairy legs. Like very hairy legs like a bear.

It makes sense why they prefer to possess a human body so instead of taking the form of a human themselves if they can't turn back. But then again, my friend's mother may have been hallucinating but what about ALL of Eni's uncle's family who swear by what they saw? Kuch tau dekha hoga.
If it doesn't say it explicitly and what you're saying is based on scholars' interpretation only then there's always room for doubt so I guess we'll never know. spooky music
Islamically speaking, these things if they take human shape they can't turn back into their original form so I can't believe this stuff.
Am not so sure about this. All I have heard they are able to disguise as human beings. As far as i know the incidents where jinnat have been witnessed are usually in the form of human beings.
We know there are good and evil amongst the jinnaat
“And among us ( the Jinns ) there are the righteous folk and among us there are far from that; we are sects having different rules.”
(Surah Jinn:11)
So what I have gathered from scholars is that those who are affected by shar of the shaitan use their powers against human beings to harm them.
LOL … I told a colleague at work about my wife’s episode … and she said that she totally understands it … She said that once for about 3 or 4 weeks she had fears that aliens were going to abduct her or had already done so because she had a mark on her hand that she could not explain … and her colleagues at work were telling her about ghosts and spooks and some even came to work and gave her holy water to put in her room …
Holy Water is for Vampires … everyone knows that …
