So anyone have any experiences with Ouija Boards? Either using them yourself, or watching others use them. I know two people that used them, and both had pretty bad experiences because after some time, they could always feel the presence of someone around them when they were alone. I don’t really believe in such stuff, but on the other hand I’m also too scared to try it.

We used to to that with self made ones, and used to have bottle caps, fingers of 3-4 participants lightly touching it - and we used to read all 4 quls and ask for the specific rooh to come in it.
I am kidding you not, it used to work.
Re: Continuing the supernatural talk...
I think I've mentioned here somewhere before that the house I grew up in had some sort of paranormal inhabitance residing there. My two older sisters were obsessed with the notion and used to mess around with the Ouija Board to try to figure out who/what it was. I was pretty young at the time, and I was never allowed to hang out with them when they were on the Ouija Board (coming from a single parent household, we were alone alot of the time) but I know they experienced some freaky stuff. How real it was, I couldn't say, but I do know that I stick firm to my late Papa's advice...don't go looking for trouble and it won't find you!

What would happen?
Re: Continuing the supernatural talk…
This is so true :k:
Never tried it, and never wanted to try it either.
I also have never been sensitive to comments such as ‘Oh are you a whimp’?
Re: Continuing the supernatural talk…
Eek, never thought there was anything to it but reading the posts above makes me think again.
I’d be too giggly if I ever tried it! Imagine trying to be all serious and spooky
May be I find it funny because I’ve seen some pretty terrible actors in those ghost hunt programmes… they sit in a circle and call out the name of the dead and after a few minutes one of em screams “omggg something just touched meee”… It all looks so fake, I can’t imagine doing it myself and expecting anything to happen.
TLK bhai, how did you know it worked?
Re: Continuing the supernatural talk...
When we used to ask simple questions, the bottle cap started to move towards yes or no or the number. I know that we had fingers on the cap, but you can sense if one of the person is pushing it or not.
Re: Continuing the supernatural talk...
I remember my sister telling me about stuff like the table tipping over, or other things in her bedroom being knocked down when they were trying to "summon"....
Here's where I always get confused though....Islam teaches us that Jinn are created by Allah, just like humans...they are made of fire, can be good or bad and exist on another parrallel world from us and can interact with humans. A "ghost" typically refers to the lingering spirit of a human that has already passed away. Does Islam account for "ghosts"? Can a deceased person's spirit still stay back in this physical world?

What I heard is that Islamicaly speaking, there is no such thing as 'bhatakti rooh' or what you are referring to as ghost. Yes Rooh's can visit this world, only if Allah allows/wants them to.

This is also what happened to one of the people I knew, but it wasn't during the summoning phase, it was when she was alone in her room. It seemed like the "spirit" that she kept calling became somewhat obsessed with her.

Re: Continuing the supernatural talk…
did this once in karachi with my cousins and my disbelieving brother.
I was very young…and didn’t know what they were doing…that’s kinda why they used me…so that brother couldn’t accuse them of foul play.
It was freaking scary.
They asked the spirit when my brother would get married and what the girl’s initials would be. It answered.
I learned many years later that the expectation was that it would be my cousin’s own initials cuz apparently she had some sort of crush and wanted to marry him. (Yeah we still tease him about that today even though he is well into his sixties
)
Turns out the spirit gave totally different answers.
Several months later when he finally married someone totally unknown to the entire family, the answers were found to be dead on!!!
Go figure.
Re: Continuing the supernatural talk...
Ok I am not always familiar with english proverbs. "The answers were found to be dead on"
That means the girl he married had the same initials like the 'thing' said?

yes.
very eerie since we never knew the family or the girl at the time that we summoned the "spirit"
it had given her initials and the month and date that the wedding would take place.
Re: Continuing the supernatural talk...
Wow. That is scary :|
