Re: Continuing the supernatural talk...
Wow. That is scary :|
you like that eh?
get this.......
when I was about 2 years old in Karachi there was a child, young boy of about 3 or 4 years old, that went missing from our neighbourhood.
a religious figure (don't recall if he was a peer/fakeer or imam though I remember him being immaculately dressed with a shara'ee beard and white saafa) was called in to perform some ritual that would identify the whereabouts of the child......
I was selected as the "innocent child" that would "assist" in this process.
I was sat before this man cross legged on the takhat while he recited surahs......have no clue which they were or for how long he did this.
Eventually I was asked to peer into my right thumbnail and explain what I could see.
I remember this like it was an hour ago....and still get goosebumps telling people about it.
At first it was like my nail had turned into a cloudy mirror.....he kept urging me to look "ghaur say"......"aur ghaur say dekho"...."aur ghaur say"....."bata'o kya dikh raha hay tumhain".......(I can still hear his voice in my head)
I saw a boy.....barefoot......wandering in a busy bazaar......he was crying and looking around for a familiar face.....people were rushing around him and ignoring his pleas and sobs.
I remember saying, "larka hai.....roh raha hai.....sarak pay chal raha hai....roh raha hai....."
He asked me to look around and explain what I saw around that area....."Aur bata'o kya nazar aa raha hai tumhain....koi dukaan hai? kiss cheez ki dukaan hai.....bata'o beta.....bolo....."
There was a bakery, a drink shop and someone working on motorcyle tires.
"cake ki dukaan hai samosay hain biscuit hain.......peenay ka apple milta hai (ammi said this was in reference to apple sidra as that is what I would call it).....kharab cycle hain......roh raha hai.....woh roh kyun raha hai?"
I remember that I started crying at this point.
He went on....."roh nahin.....woh chup ho ja'ay ga....fikr nahin karo....rotay nahin...."
I don't recall much more after I started crying but apparently there was enough in whatever I said for them to locate the child in Paposh......the next neighbourhood's bazar.
Re: Continuing the supernatural talk…
I recall that you were not able to call for a specific rooh…you had to rely upon those which were in the vicinity and this was particularly dangerous because you could never know…
my cousins would say, “Yahan say koi paak, saaf rooh ka guzar ho to …”

Wow. you totally left me speechless. If I did not know you, I would thought that you are making it up.
Just amazing.
Re: Continuing the supernatural talk…
^ wow. This is the first time I am hearing of such a procedure. That is interesting.
I was about to ask you if you were scared, but you were 2 at that time. I have no words. :k:
Re: Continuing the supernatural talk…
dude if ammi had not repeated this story to me a hundred times on my request I would have thought that I made it up too… ![]()
the next day I was down with a major fever of 102/103…there is a photo of me somewhere sitting all dressed up in gotay waala dupatta and bhari bhari chooriyan…I always found that photo odd cuz the kapray do not match and ammi told me it was after this event and everyone was trying to “behla’o” me from the fever etc so they let me dress in whatever I wanted…

Yes, I remember we used to say that, though I remember calling Shakspear's rooh and rooh of one the uncle who was poisoned by someone. I dont remember much about the second experience.
Re: Continuing the supernatural talk…
could you quickly check your nail and give me tomorrows lottery numbers ![]()
Re: Continuing the supernatural talk…
I guess I wasn’t scared cuz I didn’t know what I was doing…just following instructions.
But I do recall crying…and I still get a lump in my throat when I get to telling that part of the story…weird or what huh?
Re: Continuing the supernatural talk…
yeah…pehlay main lottery khel loon phir app ki baari…
Re: Continuing the supernatural talk...
TLK.....ask ammi if she has ever heard of this procedure.......I'm curious to know if she has.

Did you ever hear about the religious man again? Or did you ever heard about this process from others?
What happened to the boy btw? How did he dissapear?
Re: Continuing the supernatural talk...
I will. But I know that my ammi talks about something similar somewhat
Once there was a a theft in our family. Some gold item was stolen, in a way that it was obvious that it was a job of some known person. A buzurg was called. He sat in front of a lota filled with water and took some dough (gundha hu'a aata). Then he made small chits of paper and wrote the name of all the people who visited that home that day. He then took each folded chit, made a small ball out of the dough, and pushed one chit inside each ball. He then threw all of them inside that lota, They all went down to the bottom. he started reciting something and after a while, one ball floated back to the surface and kind of opened up like a blooming flower. That chit had the name of the thief. It was a close family member.
I dont remember what happened next. Did they confront the person or not? I will ask ammi and post here.

Never really inquired about the man.
Heard the process was commonly used in rural areas. Many have confirmed that they have seen it done.
Boy had been taken by someone and somehow either escaped or was let go. He had been wandering for a couple of days trying to find his way home.
ugh...now I'm a bit creeped out.....think I need to go for a walk in the bright sun......really cold in here.
Re: Continuing the supernatural talk…
recovers and faints again ![]()
Re: Continuing the supernatural talk...
^ TLK. My mother experienced something like this too. But at the last moment some family members send him off saying he is a fraud. I don't think the bazurg was a fraud.
Re: Continuing the supernatural talk…
Maybe that family member was afraid of his name popping up ![]()
Re: Continuing the supernatural talk…
Ek nai tha, it were 2-3 family members. And yes I know.
