Medications which you drink or eat are not allowed. Unless you are drinking the drops or tasting them in your mouth, I really don't see why this would not be allowed? Topical medicines are okay as far as I know so why not eyedrops cuz you cant taste them.

eye drops may contain steroids like mydriatics,dexamethasone etc etc, but its not something which effects you physically in ur blood, its not like doping or energy drink that it will go inside ur blood vessels etc lol thats same like asking when you breath air, you are inhaling oxygen aren't you? So your next question should be does inhaling or breathing oxygen break the fast? aqal nu hath maar
and you also have to understand that there are different types of eyedrops like some reduce the amount of aqueous humour formed in the eye and some open the drainage channels etc etc. It's not something you should worry about, as it has no real influence on the behavior of ur body, its nta gna turn u into power puff galz or something.

And ASN when someone has a legitimate question, there’s no need to be so rude. I admit that I’ve done the same in the past, however it’s really not proper to ridicule someone when htey have an inquiry. If you’ve nothing constructive to say, it’s best to just keep quiet rather than discourage someone from asking questions.

Things that do not invalidate fasting:
During fast, the following things are permissible:
1) Taking a bath or shower. If water is swallowed involuntarily it will not invalidate the fast. According to most of the jurists swimming is also allowed in fasting, but one should avoid diving, because that will cause the water to go from mouth or nose in the stomach.
2) Using perfumes, wearing contact lenses or using eye drops.
3) Taking injections or having blood test.
4) Using miswak (tooth-stick) or toothbrush (even with tooth paste) and rinsing the mouth or nostrils with water provided it is not overdone (so as to avoid swallowing water).
5) Eating, drinking or smoking unintentionally, i.e. one forgot that one was fasting. But one must stop as soon as one remembers and should continue one's fast.
6) If one sleeps during the daytime and has a wet-dream, it does not break one's fast. Also, if one has intercourse during the night and was not able to make ghusl (bathe) before dawn, he/she can begin fast and make ghusl later. Women whose menstruation stops during the night may begin fast even if they have not made ghusl yet. In all these cases, bathing (ghusl) is necessary but fast is valid even without bathing.
7) Kissing between husband and wife is allowed in fast, but one should try to avoid it so that one may not do anything further that is forbidden during fast.

the teethbrushing thing ive heard and i agree with wholeheartedly b/c you’re not eating the toothpaste (at least i hope not)
the injection thing tho…are you sure? i always thought that was forbidden b/c it is going into your bloodstream and isn’t that also like taking medicine orally?
and guys give sara a break…at least she’s asking…and as there are little things that can invalidate fasting, it’s better to be safe than sorry
