- Things could still get a lot worse for Pakistan. Bush limited himself to airstrikes in FATA along the Afghan border. I wouldn't be surprised if Obama ordered covert attacks on targets in the interior of Pakistan...including the urban centers. It is an undeniable fact that Obama has historically been more hawkish towards Pakistan than just about any other candidate this time around. .

but in your reply, I think that Obama used that statememnt as a card to gain instant popularity earlier in in-party candidacy elections.. he mellowed down on it later on and in fact explained what he meant by that in his 2nd debate against McCain
