Consistently Consistent

25, 6, 23, 28, 5, 116, 15, 40, 82, 56, 16, 72, 30, 28, 52, 53, 63

These are Yasir Hameed’s score since his ODI debut.
After early hiccups, he has been so much consistent.
Definitly a good prospect for Pakistan in the future.

inzamam-ul-haq last TEN games....
56*
41
64*
18
59*
37
33*
17
49
25

thats a total of 399 runs at an average of 66.5.... :p

and if u take it for last TWENTY (20) games he has an average of around 36....
not bad i say....

Umair your signature :rotfl:

haha,

Yasir needs to make those several 50’s into a couple of 100’s..
he is loosing his wicket after making 50 easily..

The guy loses his mind after he crosses the 50 mark.
He mostly tries to go for the aerial route and he fails.

He did it again ;) 61 par phir out ho gya hehe

Without taking anything away from him, I think he needs to do a lot more then this. He was a little shaky against South Africa particularly agianst the fast bowlers. His real test would be when he faces Shane Bond in New Zealand. I hope I am wrong but personally I think he wont be able to handle genuine pace on fast bouncy tracks. He comes very late on quick balls outside off stump and anytime a bowler can create some extra bounce he is fetching for the ball all over the place. The only ODI I have seen in the current series so far was the third one and people who have seen that can attest that Yasir was very lucky to score over 50. He had a very shaky start, a couple of nicks and a dropped catch. On the other hand Imran Farhat was a lot more confident.

He has a very decent average so far but lets see if he keeps it up when we start touring other countires as well specially countires with fast bowlers and fast trakcs.

Lahori Munda, Yasir Hameed wouldn't have the average he has had if he had so many flaws.

Players that have been coming up with him Faisal Iqbal, Mohammad Hafeez, Imran Farhat, Taufeeq Umar, Misbah Ul Haq, Salman Bootie, Saleem Elahi, Azhar Mahmood etc etc all come in one week and are out the other month. INshallah Yasir Hameed will stick around the team his whole career even though our selecting team can is more into ruining careers then making them. It's crazy that he's been able to get this high without much experience. If anything i think his average is going to be where it is at or higher if he can start converting those 60's into 100's when he gets more experience.

He has performed consistently in this series as well, and the other matches you missed, he did well and did not offer many chances to the opposition.
His only flaw is his temperament, he overcomes the hardest part by not losing patience in the first 15 overs but when he passes the 50th mark, he gets frustrated and gets out Afridi's way.

The Game Responds:

*Next year will be fun when Pakistan will tour Australia. That will be the real test for all these emerging players(That's why I'm telling people not to laugh at India right now! They will do the same next year if we don't perform well). People, That Is All.*

I don't even want to think about our players facing the Australia.
It would be a Baqra Eid time two.

First of all I mentioned one flaw not many flaws. Secondly you need to watch and follow cricket consistenetly before posting other players names. Imran Farhat didnt come and go in week (Remember this is the guy who shared 3 century stands with Yasir in ODI's and 3 in Tests with Taufeeq). Taufeeq Umar is only injured and will be back, I dont know who Salman Bootie is but Salman Butt have not been given a chance, Azhar Mehmood is an allrounder so a comparison between him and Yasir doesnt really make sense.

Yes, he has a very healthy average but he also have played in in Pakistan only. I'll wait and see how he performs overseas.

I agree with LM. Let's see how they perform on the NZ tour and especially if Shane Bond is fit. That will be a good test of the new guys.

I think we can give the Aussies a nice little challenge. We did it last year didnt we? We were down 1-0, and we won 3-1, after a nice little comeback.

Taufeeq Umar is not injured, he has been reserved for test only and same goes for Asim Kamal and Danish Kaneria should be included in the list as well.
I think its a wise move behalf of management to set aside couple of players for test or one day only to prevent from burnout.

I was just going by what was reported before the series.

**Source **

** Opener Taufiq Omar was on injury list ** while the others who failed to get nod of the selectors were Asim Kamal, wicket-keeper batsman Kamran Akmal and Bilal Asad.
