It is a good occasion to celebrate that majority in Sarhad had their wish accepted.
Let's celebrate.
And safar, do not worry. Pakistan may be bad, but we haven't reach the depth of ethno-fascism that exists in Afghanistan.
So let that trash stay on the other side of the border.
...
Burqa, there is nothing to celebrate. A very bad precedent has been set. A ethno-centric name has been given to a province by an ethno-facist party. The only reason this happened is because Zardari/ANP/NS wheeling and dealing.
There was no referendum held for anyone to say it was done by majority. Majority of people in Frontier didn't care. It was only a divisive rallying cry which calls to the lowest instinct of people, their ethnic prejudice and egos. Even though son of ex-wali of Swat Mir Aurangzeb Gul, Saifullahs from Lakki Marwat, Amir Muqam and all of Hazara, Chitral was going against it the personal whim of the family of those who opposed Pakistan tooth and nail was appeased to the detriment of Pakistan.
You are right we are not Afghanistan yet, but we are moving towards that. And that "trash" you consider across the border are considered lar awo bar** Pakhtuns.
The Hazarawals now want their own province. What is next? we start dividing Pakistan on basis of ethnicity and languages? A province for Brohis in Kalat? One for Muhajirs in Karachi? A very bad precedent for Pakistan has been set and this is what ANP has wanted all along.
It could have been given a neutral non-ethnic name as Khyber / Abaseen or just Frontier.
