It is our system which need to be improved , If mobile sims can be issued by bio-metric , on thumb impression , why not votes . IK & N$ . both were pro-Iftekhar and pro-taliban , Both are from Takht e Lahore so favorite of bureaucracy , IK is more .......... of establishment so this is different case than Karachi . How history repeats itself. Or you reap what you sow. Your leaders are facing exactly the same crisis 37 years ago when they were main actors to create similar crisis for legally elected government. They brought Marshal Law and mardood Zia-un-Haq to power. I hope this will not happen again, but your leaders have mishandled the situation and will pay heavy price.

Your leaders should have begged Zardari to hire this guy to deal with TUQ, as he was very much successful in dealing much serious situation in past.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) the largest and main opposition party in the Parliament has strongly condemned Shahbaz Sharif’s Punjab government for overreacting to a simple situation and creating an atmosphere of siege throughout province causing miseries to the ordinary people, commuters and daily wage earners.

“PPP is shocked over the manner in which Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has overreacted to call by Dr Tahirul Qadri to pay homage today to those who had recently lost their lives during the Model Town incident due to unwise, thoughtless and arrogant police action”, PPP’s information secretary Qamar Zaman Kaira said in a statement.

Kaira said Qadri may be a demagogue deserving no sympathy whatsoever but it makes no sense to punish the ordinary people for what the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief may be doing.

"Roads in major provincial cities have been blocked by placing containers, patients have been dying on roadsides due to lack of access to hospitals.

Gas stations and shops of daily food items are shut and public and private transport has come to a standstill.

It is beyond comprehension as to why the provincial government has overreacted," said Kaira adding that “It achieved nothing but exposed the provincial government’s sense of fear, paranoia and sheer desperation.”

The PPP leader said that the government of Shahbaz Sharif has miserably failed in tackling the situation in Lahore and was trying to kill a fly with a cannon.

He added that that “The chief minister has been unmindful of the huge social and human collateral damage which he inflicted on the hapless citizens and daily wage earners.”

The PPP demanded that provincial government should immediately lift the blockades faced by the province’s ordinary people and deal with Qadri in ways that are ingenious and non violent.

What I dnt understand is where this TUQ got naazil from? I had not heard of him till his demonstration some time ago. And to have a cult on top of that. Can anyone shed some light? Also saw a pic of IK with the chaudrys!! What The!! Is all I could think. I dnt know much about politics but weren't they chummy with Mush? Who imran khan has a huge issue with. They seem to be real opportunists.

anyway, somebody have posted these scenarios, just for discussion purpose, let see how realistic they may be:

Lets see U Turn Khan visit Gullu Qadri in Model Town or Gullu Qadri visit him in Zaman Park or not. Govt on advantage, as one leader dies politically but hard to contain both at Lahore for long.

OPTION 2

Both remains a part, start together, one from Zaman Park and other from Model Town. Hard to coordinate pressure on Govt. Two leaders sitting in different containers will weaken pressure and media will also be confused, where to give coverage more. U Turn Khan may also be blocked under hard stance of Govt on Gullu Qadri.

OPTION 3

Govt allows uninterrupted move to U Turn Khan but block Model Town. Gullu Qadri firqa will never move without Gullu Qadri container. Funny situation for Pasha Party. If return to Model Town, waste in time and media/Govt will say they allowed Pasha Party but they selected violence themselves. If U Turn Khan moves at his own leaving behind Gullu Qadri, wedge of betray between both will be created and march will be weakened. (Govt seems will go for this option)
