I am punjabi but when I speak urdu they say i know urdu just like an urdu speaker + the lahori accent:chai:
I do not think it should be a problem, just tell him. As long as you know urdu and can talk to him. Where do you live btw?
or is it more of a family issue that the guy’s family will create especially the mom? they want their son to marry into an urdu speaking famiy?
