lately we’ve had threads upon threads about “dating”
what i want to know is… what does “dating” mean to u… some people seem to think it consists of some sort of physical action… others think its a mere meeting of two or more people… like i dunno going for dinner or something..
once i know, i may understand the reasons why some of these threads are opened.. and why people are insulting each other without any sign of mercy…

dating is basically having a girlfriend, boyfriend, being emotionally attached to that significant other with romantic feelings....going to places on a one to one and knowing that you're a "couple" with the unspoken rule that you are not allowed to see anyone else whilst in this relationship and this relationship can even be physical.

yeah for everyone the definition of a date is different. Some equate sex with it automatically, and for some its just some time to hang out and get to know each other.

Who cares? You do what you want to do, you let your kids do what you want them to, your kids do what they want to. Nobody cares if you wanna date, have sex, shoot up heroin, jao jiyo, aish karo, tumhari zindagi hai. But to say that Islam is okay with men and women interacting khullay aam, now that's another thing. But ah well, we have gay Muslims, we have those who think dating is kosher in Islam, we have those who think Shariah is extreme and inhumane. Nothing new, there will always be people who will try to change Islam. But who cares, in the end, you're dead anyway. Whatever.

PCG, whatever. I'm not a good Muslim unfortunately. If someone decides to shoot up heroin and od whatever, go ahead, what am I gonna, come huff and puff at your door. But if someone goes around saying heyyy man that heroin, man that's some spiritual ****. And man, it hasn't been mentioned in the Quran. Hey man, where does Allah say don't shoot up heroin man, let's all od man. Then, excuse me while I go laugh.
Same with dating, kullay aam interaction with the opposite gender isn't exactly very Islamic.
So yeah whatever.

Intention makes a big difference. If you can't talk to guys without good intentions, doesn't mean everyone is like that.
