i wont wear any thng..and now days i havnt seen a single bride with nath or wt ever...
m talking about islamabad...dnt know wt karachi or lahore grls prefer .............. u can look pretty widout wearing anythng on ur nose :)....

rest is ur choice :)

some salons here ask u to remove nath for photo shoot ....... bridal wear it after photshoot

i was alwayz scared .. two tym i acctually went to the shop paid .. n then wen i saw the thinggie they do it with .. i wud alwayz walk bak out .. but then i really wanted to gett it done .. so i went real brave n gott it done .. it didnt even hurt .. only a tiny bitt wen it goes in .. jus getts ur eyes watery ..

Not everybody wears a nath on their wedding. You can get those clip-on/ screw-on ones these days anyway! :)

i got mine done from pakistan when i was 12...the guy was very good about sanitation etc. I never ended up with a bump even though I didnt take any special care of my nose either.... when ur 12 u wanna get a piercing and dont always know how to take care of it or even if you really need to....so i dont know it seems to depend where u get ur piercing from and how sensitive ur skin is whether u will get that bump or not

I have mine on the left, although right looks better in the mirror, but that's because you are picturing it on your left side, if that makes sense. I got it when I was 15 with a friend and our moms came along, surprisingly back in Pakistan, NONE of my cousins from both sides of my family have a pierced nose, not even my chachi, mumaani and phuhpo who are in there upper-thirties. Weird how it is not that common in Pakistan any longer or they consider "paindu" or something, heh.

That being said, i dont like naths one bit and def. dont plan on wearing one. And for girls that got the bump and for those that want an easy healing process, remember:

  • dont ever touch your piercing without washing your hands, and dont let sweat or dirt pile up on your nose, wash your face regularly (gently too) while you get your piercing.
  • spin the stud gently twice a day with CLEAN HANDS, cant stress that enough, I got mine infected in the beginning when i didnt wash my hands before touching it.
  • dont touch it at all, unless to spin or to apply some antiseptic fluid, I used the one from Claires which healed mine in no time or if you dont get liquid just use a non-scented soap or even facial cleanser. It should be okay in 2-3 weeks when you can change your stud, make sure it's either gold or silver and not copper/nickel or you WILL irritate it. And don't be afraid of the gold studs, I got a VERY tiny gold one which you cant even tell because the stud part is flat so all you see is the stud and not the gold surrounding, it is also flat from the back, my mom got me a pair for Rs. 1K so try Pakistan for studs.

I got mine done three months ago and got it on my left side.My problem wasn't which side to get it but where on the left side to get it andhere is where I think Indians and Pakistanis differ.
Indians get it on the top of the bridge (where the fat partof the nose curves) but I think is this is better if you’re only going to wearnose rings and not studs. Pakistanis on the other hand get it on the fat partof the nose close to the bridge (curve) but just under it.
I think it’s best to look at pictures to see what you reallywant to do but again most nose studs won’t look good if you get it the Indian waybecause it’ll look like sticking out.

How to take care of it:
I got it done from Pakistan and NOT with a piercing gun.Getting your ears pierced with a gun is okay but for a nose it’s a no nobecause it’s too tight and will not help with healing. Therefore, I got it donewith a silver pin and it didn’t hurt a bit

Also there are tons of sites on the net which show you howto take care of your piercing so I would suggest you look at a few of them butthe best advice I followed and would suggest to you is to clean the area withhot water (as hot as you can tolerate) and press the area with cloth or tissuedipped in hot water. This is the only way to prevent, avoid and get rid of bumps.Also clean it with salt water solution.

After 3-4 weeks wear nothing but Gold and you’ll be fine.
