I’ve been using MAC Select Moisture Cover in NW20 for several years. No real complaint about it. Just wanting to try something new. I guess the only thing that bugs me SOMETIMES about this is that it’s a bit sheer so if I’m having a rough week (ie. too little sleep, too much stress = dark circles at its worst), then the concealer doesn’t do a great job.
Before this I used to use MAC Studio Finish but if I recall correctly, I think I stopped using it b/c it was a bit too dry for my liking. I’ve read online reviews but would like to hear from other desis with similar skintone. For reference: I’m between NC40-NC42, 153 in MUFE HD, and Barcelona in NARS Sheer Glow. Ideally I’d prefer non-drugstore brands so I can play with the colors and try it on before purchasing.
I’m a concealer addict. I was using MAC Studio Finish, then Maybelline Age Rewind, then IT Cosmetics.
Then someone here (or maybe somewhere else) recommended LA Girl Pro HD Concealer so I bought 3 tubes (they’re only $2.50 each plus they were running a 20% off promo at the time). I absolutely ADORE this concealer. It does exactly what it says - stays on, convers flawlessly, and does not crease! I’m sticking with this one for now because its cheap, a little goes a long way and really does get the job done.
I want this!! How would I know what shade to get though?? I'm an NC20 in mac.
Honestly I have no clue.. I guessed because I bought 3 different shades - Almond, Medium Bisque and Nude. I also used that blog I posted above and kind of compared my skin colour to all the girls and picked from there. I'm an NC42 and I'm using Medium Bisque right now.
BB, MAC, and Lancome are very easy for me to check-out since the mall is within 15 min. from me. Those of you recommending pro longwear, could you please share your skin tone and what shade of pro longwear you use.

It is meant to cover tattoos. But it isn't cakey.
I have used it under the eyes, on acne marks, on veins, pock marks, even on a gash one bride got on her arm the day of her wedding.
I use the 505-T ring and its a combination of colors that work on all desi skin tones beautifully. I always use TC 2 and 3 for marks and under eye. The TC 4 and 5 I use for contouring.
Ive been using Smashbox concealor for a few years now and looove it. It covers really well :) Can't remember the color of the top of my head I think its light-medium though or something of that sort...
One more Q: This won’t cause issues for acne prone skin will it? (assuming if I use the other shades in an attempt to contour).
I don’t react to this and I thought I would since its theater makeup.
