Concealer Recommendations Needed

Re: Concealer Recommendations Needed

I think Bobbi Brown makes the best concealer. They do an amazing job of hiding dark circles and blemishes. The Sonia Kashuk concealer quad is pretty good too.
A Corrector **counteracts the tone of your dark circles. Depending on the colour of your dark circles, you choose the opposite colour from the colour wheel which could be lavender, yellow, pink etc. This will balance out the unnatural colour of the skin.
Then **C
**oncealer **is applied on top of the corrector to make the area blend in well with the skin tone.
Sometimes a corrector alone will do the job.

Re: Concealer Recommendations Needed

I love bobbi brown for getting rid of the colour but my biggest issue with it is it always settles in my fine lines and looks really obvious. Right now i'm trying MUFE Full Cover Extreme Camouflage Cream. It goes on really well and doesn't settle in fine lines at all and does a good job of covering my under eye circles. However, I still felt the BB did a better job of completely removing the darkish colour.

Re: Concealer Recommendations Needed

If you have problems with concealers settling into fine lines...get a velour puff and gently buff away the excess product.

I use NC30 foundation and NC35 concealer. I do have pretty dark circles and the lady at the mac counter checked which shades suit my skin and that's what she recommended. I did try BB in the past, but I'm not too fond of it!

Question for you guys, do you use your concealer before or after you apply your foundation? I apply it after but so many people do it before!

Re: Concealer Recommendations Needed

Just wanted to update you guys. I didn't get a chance to go to the mall but ended up going to MAC and Sephora which is closer to me. I bought the MAC Pro LongWear concealer in NW25....have not tried it out yet. I also bought the MUFE Camouflage Palette....tried it on last night. It was too drying so will be returning it soon.

Rani: I used to apply concealer first but lately.....I've been doing it AFTER the foundation.

Re: Concealer Recommendations Needed

Another good one is Laura Mercier Secret Concealer. My friend picked it up the other day when she was looking for a concealer. The MUA tried it on her and it covered every bit of darkness under her eyes and she has pretty dark circles.
