Exactly my sentiment! I have argued here before that there is too much invested (both in terms of blood and resources) in kashmir by both us(pak not US) and india. It is political suicide for india to grant independence to mini-me vale of K. u know the situation well as far pak establishment is concerened.
There is no way vale of K is getting independence. The likely outcome is minor readjustment in the border and a soft border betweeen AJK and IHK vale of K. Lives/future/wishes of 100m+ pakistanis and 1b+ indians are more important than 2m+ wannabe independents.
