Re: Comparison of Religious Beliefs
but how would you explain this to someone like lkk pai who believes otherwise?
In LKK's post the wording 'who recites the Kalimah and he/she meant the meaning of Kalimah' are not different from what I wrote. One who recite and meant it means he / she submitted to God's will. When someone say 'La ilaha illallah Muhammad Rasoolllah' - 'There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is His Prophet' and he/she meant that implies that he / she has belief in Allah and what He commanded through His prophet. If he / she committed a sin, he/she has to face the consequences of that until Allah forgives the person committing that sin. There is no blanket forgiveness just for saying something which was a belief amongst Jews.

Brother, there is no direct narrations which points towards 'temporary', however there is a authentic hadith where Prophet PBUH described about a person who will be the last person coming out from the hell and entered into heaven by the Grace of Almighty Allah. Further more, it is well known to us that all major sins are unforgivable but the minor sins will be forgiven.
Re: Comparison of Religious Beliefs
Its about duration. If a person who recites a kalima, but does not honour it, and carries on sinning all his life. How come his punishment become 'temporary' ?? Allah is just, he will do complete justice.

so the point is 'there is no concept' of salvation just by uttering Kamilah by word of mouth. Your actions will ascertain your final destiny. right?

Yes, we can say that its about duration but why he will be entered in Heaven if he don't honour the 'Kalima'? Obviously, he (might be) honored Kalima at any stage during his life-span or never involved in any major sins, that is why (may be) his punishment was 'temporary' and eventually he will be entered into heaven.

I think we are aware from that if a person who fear that he/she will be get killed if he doesn't deny of Islam (religion), that it is allow to him/her to deny b'coz it will be purely on temporary basis not from his/her bottom of the heart. Similar to this, one who recite Kalimah should mean it, then enter is Islam (religion) completely (must obey) and should not involve in any major sins which are unforgivable, otherwise consequences of wrong-doings is due and he/she will not enter into heaven till that paid-off.

Re: Comparison of Religious Beliefs
The view of compression of religions is so lengthy because the in the present history the religions are different in different countries. Muslims believe in God and his messengers and books, angles and also other follower of Islam. The view of Jews regarding afterlife are very interesting. Similarly the Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism and the other religions have their own opinions about the life. So as Muslims we just believe on God I think it’s better for us.
Re: Comparison of Religious Beliefs
I would have to disagree with the punishment of "eternity in hell" for bad deeds. Allah has been described as the most forgiving and ever merciful to his creatures on numerous occasions. These two concepts (eternal hell and ever merciful) dont jive together. Perhaps a better phrase would be "in hell for long time".
Re: Comparison of Religious Beliefs
I have many questions in my mind about Quran recitation. in the begning of Ramadan the Religious Committee is Proud to present the Annual Pre-Ramadan Youth Quran Competition Recitation by participants in front of judges" The month of Ramadan is the one in which the Quran was sent down, a guidance for mankind, clear proofs for the guidance, the Criterion of the world and believers of the God his books and also his messengers and angles. Now I just want to get more information about this competition so if someone from of you have about this knowledge so you must suggest me what I do.

So who decided to make hell eternal? Sure wasn't God ...

Sounds like concept of Karma.

yes uncle, as Iqbal has said:
Amal Se Zindagi Banti Hai Jannat Bhi, Jahanum Bhi
Ye Khaki Apni Fitrat Mein Na Noori Hai Na Naari Hai
(By action life may become both paradise and hell,
This creature of dust in its nature is neither of light nor of fire.)
Re: Comparison of Religious Beliefs
The 2nd sentence bit complex. If I understand it, we are all creatures of dust. In and of itself this creature of dust is neither light nor hell fire. Its (our) actions deetermine if we end up in light (jannat) or in hell(fire).
So how you be. Long time no see.

2:184 (Fasting) for a fixed number of days; but if any of you is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed number (Should be made up) from days later. For those who can do it (With hardship), is a ransom, the feeding of one that is indigent. But he that will give more, of his own free will,- it is better for him. And it is better for you that ye fast, if ye only knew.

2:185 Ramadhan is the (month) in which was sent down the Qur'an, as a guide to mankind, also clear (Signs) for guidance and judgment (Between right and wrong). So every one of you who is present (at his home) during that month should spend it in fasting, but if any one is ill, or on a journey, the prescribed period (Should be made up) by days later. Allah intends every facility for you; He does not want to put to difficulties. 2:187 Permitted to you, on the night of the fasts, is the approach to your wives. They are your garments and ye are their garments. Allah knoweth what ye used to do secretly among yourselves; but He turned to you and forgave you; so now associate with them, and seek what Allah Hath ordained for you, and eat and drink, until the white thread of dawn appear to you distinct from its black thread; then complete your fast Till the night appears; but do not associate with your wives while ye are in retreat in the mosques. Those are Limits (set by) Allah. Approach not nigh thereto. Thus doth Allah make clear His Signs to men: that they may learn self-restraint.
