Jews and Christians are respected as “People of the Book,” but they have wrong beliefs and only partial revelation.

Islam and Christianity are false interpretations and extensions of Judaism.

Judaism is a true religion, but with incomplete revelation. Islam is a false religion.

Christians believe in ghosts as well along demons and angels nahi?

Re: Comparison of Religious Beliefs

The view of Jews regarding afterlife are very interesting.

In fact the Arabic word jahannum comes from gehanna.

**Gehenna

Ge’enna (γέεννα) found in the New Testament, a phonetic transcription of Aramaic Gēhannā (ܓܗܢܐ)[SUP]citation needed][/SUP], equivalent to the Hebrew Ge Hinnom, literally “Valley of Hinnom”. This was known in the Old Testament as Gai Ben-Hinnom,[SUP][3]](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gehenna#cite_note-3)[/SUP] literally the “Valley of the son of Hinnom”, [SUP][4]](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gehenna#cite_note-4)[/SUP] and in the Talmud as גהנם Gehinnam or גהנום Gehinnom.

This valley, as Keil and Delitzsch note, is “on the south side of the Jebusite town, i.e., Jerusalem.” This valley is mentioned five times in the Book of Jeremiah (7:31,32 19:2,6 32:35) as the place in which the people would “burn their sons and daughters in the fire” as part of the worship of Moloch as noted by Keil and Delitzsch.[SUP][6]](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gehenna#cite_note-6)[/SUP]

In the Qur’an, Jahannam (جهنم) is a place of torment for sinners and non-believers, or the Islamic equivalent of Hell.[SUP][7]](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gehenna#cite_note-7)[/SUP]

Re: Comparison of Religious Beliefs

Interesting :k:

:hat: for sharing Muqawee bhai

Re: Comparison of Religious Beliefs

The more interesting is Jewish belief that they are dearest (children) of God and fire of Jehnum will not touch them but for limited period and still they got concept of **Gehenna **(where people would “burn their sons and daughters in the fire”)

Re: Comparison of Religious Beliefs

I also read (don’t remember exactly) that for salvation, Jews required blood of Christian children or something like that :hmmm:

Re: Comparison of Religious Beliefs

i've also been told stuff like anyone who recites the kalimah will only experience jahannum temporarily. not sure if this is the belief of all muslims though.

Re: Comparison of Religious Beliefs

:hehe: classic lkk pai post..

Re: Comparison of Religious Beliefs

One who recites the Kalimah and he/she meant the meaning of Kalimah will be experience Hell temporarily just like a person who commit an offensive and serve the term in jail according to his/her offence.

Re: Comparison of Religious Beliefs

but that is the jewish belief.

Re: Comparison of Religious Beliefs

inspired from Jewish belief. There specific verses in Quran against this concept.

Do the people think that they will be left to say, “We believe” and they will not be tried?

Re: Comparison of Religious Beliefs

This was also thought for Muslims in west :hehe:

Re: Comparison of Religious Beliefs

but how would you explain this to someone like lkk pai who believes otherwise?

Re: Comparison of Religious Beliefs

Queer pai & buttsb,

Once a person recited Kalimah and entered into religion Islam, first of all his/her all previous sins will be forgiven. After that if he/she commit sin (not major sin) then he/she will be punished (temporary in hell fire).

What else u r talking about Queer pai ji?
