I agree CM. Kudos to Pakistani media for consistently refusing to be the government's lapdogs. And yes the Indian media is comparably timid and time and again falls very much in line with whatever the state's position is.
Pakistani Media is very amateur in its reporting
they report on conspiracy theories, conjecture, hyperbole, stereotypes, and other nonsense
there is no accountability, no fact checking
nothing to indicate that this is a professional medium of information
they seriously need a dose of reality if they think that the best way to report news is to go against the government on everything
I never play nice we both know that. The Pakistan media does a good job about exposing things that are against the national interest and against the mood of the country. The only Indian newspaper that did that was Tehelka (spelling?) and they got harassed for breaking scandals of corruption, prostitution and the like.
Tehelka is a glorified tabloid. Its a well know fact that the folks who run Tehelka have their own axe to grind. I would not take Tehelka too seriously.
However, regular media in India eg. Times group, NDTV, India Today etc. are pretty objective and unbiased.
Amazing isn’t it that the one Indian newspaper that broke news about prostitution rings run by the government is considered a tabloid. Well done on objectivity there.
One example of irresponsible role of media is quite evident from this report aired on duniya tv. It clearly shows how far can media go to make false news. This is one example of irresponsible media in our country.
