Anonymous i totally knwo what you mean and are trying to say. I have had this issue with ppl and this comes because of the fact i live in a different country than them. When i go to pak my way of communication is totally different than my normal everyday communication while living abroad. I am careful wat i say and i also know tat if i say certain things in my routine they would b taken to mean differently in pakistan. tat's just an example tat i gave to ppl who r reading this thread to make them understand wat u mean. writing emails is not a good idea in my opinion because i take written form of communication as more like self communication. the words are ritten out for u but u can take them and interpret them in any form as the written communicationdoes not have expression and expressions are very important in any language.
wat u can do is like Mirch explained wait for him to come to the country u live in. He'll start understanding u much better. Right now u guys r in 2 different countries and i think u should not give up hope onthis communication matter. wait till he comes.
Meanwhile i think increasing distance in a positive way would b a good idea. i think husband wife are differet but me and my faince we have given each other so much space. i dont ask him bout everything he does and same goes for him. i dont ask him y he didnt call me when i was expecting n same goes for him. i giv ehim enuf room to miss me so when i call him or when he calls me we want to talk to each other. also guys r different. i 've seen some guys dont give phone calling so much importance even though they care about their significant other. So i hope this helps.
