Re: Colours suitable for a dark complexioned bride
I saw a dark complexioned bride wearing maroon-ish dress with antique gold work on it and she look absolutely gorgeous!
that same bride wore mauve dress on her valima and she was looking HOT yet again..so i don't know ... because my friends sister who has a tan color wore hot pink with same color lipstick (matte) with lighter pink makeup else where and she looked hot as well.
Re: Colours suitable for a dark complexioned bride
my point precisely, don't go by what is expected, try lots of things on, u never know what may or may not suit you...dark may be good with dark but then again it may not!!!!
Re: Colours suitable for a dark complexioned bride
i don't think a dark colour would look right on a dark bride, it'll make her look darker!!! stay away from maroons!!!!!!
i have a dark complexion and everyone was like you should wear a darker red... but i tired on lots of outfits and colours, the maroons looked blah!!!
For my three outfits i have settled on a 1. (fire engine) red 2. an aqua/blue colour and 3. white and silver.
so i think she should try on lots of colours pale and dark and just see what suits her!!!! i was surprised at what suited me, when i thought it wouldn't!!!
at the end of the day, the bride will look beautiful in whatever colour or style she goes for!!!
I agree with this totally-i tried on maroons and even an burgandy and they were hideous on me-they didnt suit me at all yet strawberry red really suits me-theres so many different shades of red just try them all.
Re: Colours suitable for a dark complexioned bride
i think rather than complexion it comes down to skin. Some people are dark but their skin beautiful and with right make up they can pull of the dark colours better than dull fair complexion. Although i wish your make man/woman is good, it can screw up all the planing.
You're right some people have a beautiful skin regardless of their dark skin, they too can look beautiful with some makeup on.

Re: Colours suitable for a dark complexioned bride
I think teal or turquoise look great on darker complexions because they tend to brighten the skin color and it just looks great. This model isn’t really light skinned and the color looks so beautiful on her.
a combination of black and turqoise would be nice too.
Re: Colours suitable for a dark complexioned bride
These are beautiful pictures, but the complexion is not so dark as the girl Saloni the series “SAAT PHARE” I think she has a darker complexion. what say???
Re: Colours suitable for a dark complexioned bride
^ well the first pic I posted was to give a visual of what it might look like on a darker woman and the other two were to just show what color combinations might be possible.
Lately i'm just in love with the color turquoise/teal and so i've got a pretty good collection of pics. I think that color would look good on all complexions.
Re: Colours suitable for a dark complexioned bride
i would stay with in between shades.....so not whites and ivory and not dark maroons ...please please no dark maroon i saw this on a wedding i went to and it did NOT look good. i agree w. those who says lighter shades of blue as in teal or lighter green. or maybe even a medium pink color. also i agree no extra powder that will just make things horrible.
Re: Colours suitable for a dark complexioned bride
Yep, dark maroon would never brighten the complexion so I think she should pass on that color. I think somebody had said red would look good as well on darker complexions so here’s a pic. This model has really beautiful features and the red seems to compliment her skin color very well.
Re: Colours suitable for a dark complexioned bride
I think she should definitely go with bright colours like bright red or royal blue or even cappucino/coffee and cream shades would look absolutely divine
Did someone say hot pink - that sounds absolutely lush!
