All colors are pretty I know… I love all of them.. lekin this thread is not about who likes which color…
This one is dedicated to a friend of mine who knew ORANGE was called Kaisri in Urdu… 
Even I didnt know that.. 
I guess I should go back in time and grab my URDU teacher’s galla for not teaching me Urdu colors names :hinna:
So how many of you really know what all the other colors are called in Urdu?

I thought orange was naaranji???......or thats what I was taught at least.
I was taught colors in urdu as well as english in pre-school.
oh and that color is not pyazi, pyazi is the color of red onion-ish. I would say that is halka gulabi :D
First of all, kesari is a Hindi word, not Urdu. And it means “saffron colored” (kesar is Hindi for saffron), not orange. The Urdu word for that would be zafrani.
The proper term for orange (both the fruit and the color) is naaranji (or naarangi colloquially).

Asmani rang
Badami rang
Angori rang
Unnabi rang

surkh = red
zard = yellow
sabz = green
asmaani/neela = blue
gulaabi = pink
arghwaani = purple
khaaki = beige
badaami = brown

Meri idher light gaie thi, aur peechay se logon ne dhawa bol diya

naaranji, zaafraani and Zard are used for Orange…
whoever said zard for yellow might never heard ‘peela’ 
and by the way, there are multiple names like LaaL for Surkh, haraa for sabz, banafshi for jaamni, etc.
