Colored contacts

Re: Colored contacts

I personally dont wear contacts, but i do think they look good on some people, if their good contacts.
when i was younger i did want to wear them coz my siblings have naturally coloured eyes but as i got older i realised it wont look good on me.
i may try hazelnut brown someday and see if that looks good on me, as its not that different to my colour.

lol

coloured contact lenses are very high-schoolish.

Re: Colored contacts

^ lol… That hit the nail right on the head! hahaha..! :k:

Re: Colored contacts

I didn’t want to wear colored contacts for my big day but my makeup artist suggested I should since all my jewelry was green and she thought grren eyes would complimen that and so I did and I honestly I think they looked good. For my mehendi I went with my natural eye color so I decided to change it up a bit.

PLEASE DO NOT QUOTE

If anything it was my eyebrows that really bothered me that day. Ugh they were so out of shape. ladies make sure you take good care of ur brows before the big day!!!

VZ I cried during my rukhsati and I didn't feel a thing. In fact my contacts/makeup was the last thing on my mind:(

Then again I have been wearing contacts since high school so I was used to them.

Re: Colored contacts

i think they look very nice desigirl786 :)

^^Thanks marwah I love your eye makeup skills girl!!

Re: Colored contacts

thanks :D

Re: Colored contacts

Desi Girl, you look stunning and prove that coloured contacts do look good,
again only if it compliments your skin tone.. which it does

There’s nothing wrong with opting to change your eye colour, people dye their hair, wear makeup etc to enhance their features, so why not go for a different eye colour?

Of course, going for emerald green, or purple or blue will look diastrous, but something natural looking late hazel, or grey may look good.

Again, I think people who are fair can get away with the lighter eye colour.

Here are me and my greys.

Re: Colored contacts

I don't know I feel that it alters you too much whether it looks real or fake. I would rather look at my husband through my real eyes on the day of the wedding. Corrective lenses aside. Another note, contacts often lack the spark the glow you see in your real color, nahi?

wow! what a gr8 ans! i dunno y ppl here r makin a big deal about colored lenses... i wore on both my weddin and walima and i was JUST FINE! i cried like hell in my rukhsati and NEWS FLASH.... the lense did not come out! its absurd to think it will...! and why shud we not wear lenses... for some ppl their eyes look much prettier and bigger (like in my case) when they wear lenses... plus it was my wedding day and anyway, nothin abt me (or any bride for that matter) would be real with the cakes of foundation and makeup on ur face... so u r goin to look different so y not emphasise on ur eyes... the most imp part of ur beauty!

You missed a very important part of what I said. During your wedding you are supposed to look enhanced and more beautified, not like a different person. I don't give a fig if someone wants to wear colored contacts, but it seems absurd that someone wouldn't want to wear those contacts every day out of the year instead of just one day (since they are so unhappy with their eyes).

It's not like I insulted anyone who chooses to do this, nor did I speak ill of them. I just think it's a bit silly to do it one day out of the year and not do it the rest.
Unless you want to feel less beautiful those other days.
See my point?

exactly :)

so a hint of color in your eyes is going to make you look like a different person? lol i'm sorry i just don't understand that. it's a persons own choice if they want to wear those contacts everyday or just on their wedding day. and no one knows if the people who have worn colored contacts on their wedding day also wear it in everyday life. what if they do? does that make it any less absurd for you?

i wear them everyday because i've had problems with clear contacts in the past and never want to use those again so i'm left with colored contacts and i don't mind them because i think they look nice anyway. and i'm probably going to wear them on my wedding day too unless i've gotten laser eye surgery done before that. i'm not sure if i can get that done though. but what i do know is that i wouldn't want anyone hating on my contacts if i posted my wedding pics here.

nice! they look very similar to mine.

man... u amaze me.. i had the same reaction... i was like... i dun understand MS's point! what if i wear it even before marriage..? even in my case, i wear colored lenses only when i have to go for parties etc otherwise glasses cus ppl think (esp hubs) that i look cuter in it ;) u know MS u mite not be sayin its wrong but ur statement that why should one wear lenses on weddin day... that didnt go well with us lenses lover.. otherwise i believe live and let live... we shud not impose one another's thots on others... PLS CHILL GUYS... and marwah and MS lets finish this up now ok??? :) relax!

Ladies, it has been brought to my attention that there is a fight going on here...

How very insipid, come on girls, surely u can do better than that, get the claws out!

Meeeiaoooowwww!!!!

I don’t know/care about other people but if i’m paying a load of $$ i better not look like me me. I can look like me-me-but-enhanced by my own hand. that said ppl said i looked really diff on my valima but i never saw a difference.i just saw me. Contouring zindabad :halo:

claws = obscenely long toenails?
