theres nothing wrong with contacts- they help you see, for crying out loud, same with glasses. because they're not natural either so no one should wear glasses? and i still stand by clothes and makeup- you could wear a potato sack too- that would protect you from the elements, but people choose to wear clothes instead. nice clothes, decorative clothes, clothes that make you look good and feel good. as for makeup, well hell. that very definitely enchances your looks (or detracts depending on how well you apply it, haha), and for some people its quite a change from how they naturally look. but we still do it, and its fun and it looks good and i really dont see what your point is. its not drastic, its temporary, and its harmless for the greater part. to each their own, i guess, and you cant paint everyone with the same brush, u know? but i'd think if you were really insecure, you would go for something more permanent like plastic surgery, instead of something as simple as coloured contact lenses.
