I was thinking abt my weight lose issue…and thn it came to me that since i started drinking coffee (regular coffee nothing fancy) I have had a really really hard time losing weight.
Does coffee make it harder for a person to lose weight?
is there any connection btw the two? does coffee slows down the metabolism?
It better not!! I love coffee. But to be honest with you I personally never had that. I drink coffee on a daily basis (I know I shouldn’t) and the only reason I gained weight was because of fatty foods!
rabia, have you gained weight before and successfully got rid of it? if so, what have you done special before that you're not doing this time?
also, are you exercising? Nothing is going to work if u dont burn the calories off. Coffee isnt something magical that it will make you lose weight. Coffee like any other "healthy" food contains calories too, and you cant really expect weight loss by keep on drinking coffee... its only going to add calories up, if you arent working out. But if you are working out and drinking coffee too then theres something else thats the problem. Perhaps your diet?
as long as ur burnng more calories than u consume nuthing can slow down ur weight loss.
our body consumes 1800-2000 calories a day whether u move or not. it needs this much amount of calories to perform all the functions like pumping blood, function of our other organs and breathing etc etc.
so if u consume 1500 cal diet a day and ur body consume 1800 calories then u wud definitly lose weight. and it doesnt matter where these cals r coming from. u can have ur fruit diet or jst eat 3 bags of chips containing 1500 cals. it doesnt matter. u will loose weight as long as ur consuming less cals than u burn.
the caffeine in coffee is good for muscle building I believe. But there is new research data that shows coffee may cause harm if had before work outs. It may reduce blood flow to the heart , which can never be a good thing...
GOOD QUESTION. i cant live without cofee but to be honest i went on a diet few months back for my engagement party and i just ate less and moved more, i still had my tea daily.....with artificial sweetner....and i still ost weight...
thanks guys, glad to hear no one has heard anything abt "coffee slowing the matoblism" or something...i m still drinking a large coffee everyday with splenda and fat free creamer :)
coffee is indeed an excellent thing in this world...i love it...my husband is used to have 3 cups of black coffee without sugar/sweetner and only has his dinner at night and he is still at the same weight if not lost any! i like his spirit though!
i am not a fan of this black coffee..but love to have cappuccino or simple coffee with proper full fat creamer bcz i use only 1 tsp!
have actually read articles saying coffee has caffine so it helps it boosting your metabolism, so even though i hate it- i've started drinking it...it makes u feel full but thirsty too
their is nothing wrong with having one or two cups of coffee a day. it has many benefits..
and def shudnt cause weight gain. it actuallyy helps with digestion, and rather sends you 2 the bathroom.
i heard it also reduces risk of diabetes. and a number of other diseases.
