Hillary goes so far as to pledge her uncoditionam support for Netanyahu, whom President Obama has criticized. Whereas Sanders pledges to have a balanced and fair approach towards the situation.
The media won’t highlight such differences. The thread is open for discussion.
Re: Clear distinction between Hillary and Sanders on Israel/Palestinian situation
Will President Sanders cut off the $4.5 if not $6 billion in new aid to Israel? Majority of jews have a tribal bond with Israel even if they religious in name only.
Re: Clear distinction between Hillary and Sanders on Israel/Palestinian situation
Well the only jew doesnt have to be in Washington to convince Israelis :)
We discussed this before. I know Sanders has a moderate attitude as compared with Clinton who has shown her affection with them many times. But overall if anybody thinks that the pro-Israeli policy will change, they better come out of lala land now.
As OP mentioned, Obama opposed Neitanyahu, but guess what, the military aid consignment shipped in emergency in 2014 Palestine conflict was largest ever in history. And you think this will change? :)
Re: Clear distinction between Hillary and Sanders on Israel/Palestinian situation
So my honorable colleagues have set a high bar for Sanders. The fact that Sanders is more balanced than Hillary is not a consideration for these fine gentlemen. They want assurances about specifics.
One fine gentleman misintprets my post. I didn't state the pro Isaeli position would shify.i simpky stated Bernie woukd be more fair than Clinton wrt this issue.
The argument that Bernie Cando the same things as a senator is irrelevant. He is running for President.
Re: Clear distinction between Hillary and Sanders on Israel/Palestinian situation
Heard part of Hillary address to AIPAC today. She was hawkish as ever. Re Iran her talk is so tough that it will simply end up.pissint off Iran before talks can even begin.
If you want a hawk who wouod make things worse, Hillary is your candidate.if you want someone who will at least try to make things better Sanders is your candiidate.
If you want guarantees on specifics, it is you who are living in LA LA land.
Here is the AIPAC speech Sanders wanted to give remotely. To those who have followed this nice man’s career, no surprise.
It is funny that the gentleman from NY now says this will have no impact. Right from the get go, the New Yorker has been stating Hillary is more electable in the primary and GE. The mantra repeated by the lamestream media.
Only half.the country has voted. Hawkish Hillary has a 53 to 47 pct lead in pledged delegates. Not insurmountable.
Vote for the best candidate. In this case, in terms of integrity and fairness, the choice isn’t even close.
Re: Clear distinction between Hillary and Sanders on Israel/Palestinian situation
At least he has the guts to talk about it. Shows integrity. Even if funding won't stop, the solution is always to first identify the problem. The world hasn't come to terms with the fact that for the better part of a century homes and land have been literally stolen from people such that people go out to run an errand and come home to finding their home being bulldozed and being barked off their land without even a check in financial compensation or an early notification, or an appropriate land purchase deal on the part of the government to people owning their land. At lease have the effin decency to buy the home and land off the Palestinian family if you want it for development, like it's done everywhere else in the world with a functioning government. It's land snatching what's being done and an effective apartheid with the wall. No one has the courage to even talk about it because folks start accusing of anti-semitism. Land grabbing happens in Karachi, doesn't mean I've become part of RAW, does it, if I criticize it as a crime ? At least Pakistanis own up that this sort of thing is a crime. Most of the world has blinders on when it comes to this happening in the holiest of places in the world.
Think about what an offense this is to God. Regardless of what religion you belong to. Imagine if this was happening in Makkah to old Meccan citizens if people came along and started laying stake to original Jewish or Pagan or Christian property there. We would be horrified. Happens in jurusalem and surrounding historic areas of religious significance and oh well. World moves on. The Palestinians are filthy mud bloods anyway.
Re: Clear distinction between Hillary and Sanders on Israel/Palestinian situation
Analytically, he is pretty much done so dont think it will have any impact.
Yup, at this point of time, after losing Arizona he's pretty much not going to be able to win. He needs to literally win New York and California with 100% of the vote to get there large deposits of delegates and that is not going to happen.
So folks Trump V Hillary....this is going to be a lovely **** show.
Re: Clear distinction between Hillary and Sanders on Israel/Palestinian situation
Here is a link from Tuesday March 22mornibg.
Greater before the Arizona Idaho et al promary.
Sanders needed to win 55 pct of primary votes. (And 65 pct ofncaucus. To avoid mixing units I am going with 55 pct). Since that primary is over, my number of 58 pct needed for Sanders is close to what wouod be the actual number. Now pray tell where you got the 100 pct number from. Bernie Sanders is set to win several states. Will they be enough? - Vox
Re: Clear distinction between Hillary and Sanders on Israel/Palestinian situation
I read that vox link within minutes of its publication but that still doesnt say much. Either way, Phoenix was another bad loss for Sanders.
YOU ARE NOT SAYING MUCH EITHER. IT SPECIFIC ALLY SAYS SANDERS NEEDS 55 PCT OF PRIMARY VOTES. THIS WAS BEFORE TUESDAY PRIMARY. KY NUMBER STATED SANDERS NEEDED 58 PCT OF VOTES. YOU STATED SANDERS NEEDED 100 PCT. THAT IS ALL MY POINT IS.
I dont have a number right now I DIDNT THINK SO but I've my own calculation. Please tell me where has it gone wrong yet? BEING ON HILLARY'S SIDE IS THE EASY THING. OF COURSE SHE WAS ODDS ON FAVOROUTE. I HAVEN'T KEPT TRACK OF UR PROJECTOOS. BUT IT IS OBVIOUS NO ONE THOUGHT SANDERS WILL GIVE SUCH A FIGHT. (Except Michigan, that i admitted already) ;)
Re: Clear distinction between Hillary and Sanders on Israel/Palestinian situation
Still waiting for some link or source on the 100 pct number that the Hillary supporter from the east coast pulled out of the hat. And tossed it onto this thread.
Next, the gentleman may try to sell us the Brooklyn Bridge.

Your probably misinterpreting something here because I was the one that said 100% but that was specifically for New York and California, but Obviously that is an exaggeration..no source for that. He just needs to win a certain percentage of the delegates moving forward. I think at this rate he needs to be winning states 60-40 or 70-30, if He can't do that, most likely he'll need large turnouts in California and New York. Which is unlikely.
Secondly I'm not a Hillary Supporter, Thirdly I'm not from the East Coast...I'm from the state that gave Bernie an upset victory over clinton,
But I don't sell Brooklyn Bridges, I do sell mono-rails.
Re: Clear distinction between Hillary and Sanders on Israel/Palestinian situation
The 60 40 is close to the 58 42 number I came up with. The New Yawk fella questioned the cource. Now I can tell him the mono rail salesperson is the source.
Re: Clear distinction between Hillary and Sanders on Israel/Palestinian situation
they're all the same (americans).....don't expect any of them to support the cause of palestine.
they're all supporting israel.
muslim aiwain samajhtay hain unke votes koi faida keraingay, no way.
