Thats the FIRST thing I'll spend my monies on once I go back to work!

We used to have a cleaning service. They came in once a week and it took a team of 6 about one hour to complete the cleaning. Ever since we moved - we had to give up the service :hinna:

I have to say, the funniest thing was that their cleaning day was Thursday and in anticipation of them coming, we did a mad dash “pre-clean” so that the house wasn’t too messy - my mum would say - agar ghar ziada ganda hai to naak kattai gi :smiley:

Yes.

Worst experience was when i employed the services of a Polish lady. Not only did she bail out half way through the cleaning, she stole the cupcakes i baked and left out to cool!!! :eek:

That hire was on the recommendation of a friend a well…i’m thinking my friend really hated me. :nahi:

I have cleaning services once a month. That's all I can afford. The rest of the time I clean myself. I pay them $85 for an hour. It takes 3 ladies to clean my house within that hour. However, I have herad of much cheaper picing like $10/ 20 an hour etc. as well.

Oh that’s sad - what kind of cupckaes were they - chocolate by any chance?

Oh, and the cleaning service we used was bonded and my mum was always home when they came.

used cleaning services off and on, but then my view is that much of the cleaning was us precleaning before the cleaning lady showed up, and if that is maintained then cleaning takes minimal time. had good and bad service, right now do it ourselves, I basically can do the work much faster than their team, takes them half in hour to clean the bathroom, I can do the same cleaning in 10 minutes. sometimes though we just want to call someone in and sit back and relax instead, but need to find a reliable person whose quantity and quality of work is in line with what they charge.

so until then the cleaning lady is z
and the cleaning lad is moi

50 bucks a week = 200 bucks a month = 2400/year .. thats a pretty decent domestic vacation for 4.
all for mopping, vacuuming and cleaning the bathroom.

i dunno..i dont see the need

Only if people start eating less .. their grocery bill will be less, they will be healthy, they dont need to clean kitchen and bathroom that much .. faa'edaa hee faa'edaa

totally agree. But it's worth the price do bigger jobs like get the windows washed, detailing the kitchen once a year.

What does cleaning your bathroom have to with eating? Nevermind I don't want to know.. how you use your shower...

you meant the toilet....

Bathrooms are hard to clean. I want to know how people clean it in 10 minutes. All the shower floors, the tub, the tiles and all the desi hair everywhere.

I cleaned my bathroom after…2 months (okay don’t :eek: please).

Took me all of 15 minutes to scrub the toilet bowl, the toilet, the floors and the sink.

(didn’t do the tub. that would take an extra 10-15 minutes) :frowning:

Its not finding time, I just dont feel like doing it and its icky.

Because people like us are more thorough in our cleaning - unlike the kaamchors :snooty:

It would take me 2-3 hours to clean the 3 bathrooms in our home - my least favourite chore.
