Clarisonic Brush...Who has it? Is it Worth the Hype?

I really want to wash my face well now…I put on foundation every day and I feel like all of it doesn’t come out when I wash my face at night…I really want to get the clarisonic brush, but it’s not the $119 price that is making me think twice it’s the fact that you have buy a replacement brush head every month or so for like $30, thats pretty expensive since I def will be using it every night, so will be hooked on buying it for life literally…

anybody have it? Is it really that good, is it life changing for your skin? lemme know!! :)))

Re: Clarisonic Brush...Who has it? Is it Worth the Hype?

i saw one by neutrogena, it was for around kd 5 and the pads were kd4 which contained like 300 pads and u have 2 replace it everytime u use it. i m thinking of buying it but not sure if it wl suit my sensitive skin.

The Clarisonic is worth every penny. I've been using it since January and seen s drastic improvement in terms of breakouts. It's very effective in removing make-up and allows products to absorb better.

Re: Clarisonic Brush…Who has it? Is it Worth the Hype?

I have it and absolutely love it! I use it pretty much everyday too (unless I am super lazy or something). But yes, I think it has immensely helped in clearing up my skin as well. I use my own cleanser, not the one that comes with it, and it does an amazing job of removing dead skin cells. It gives a nice squeaky clean feeling. Definitely worth it in my opinion :k:

Re: Clarisonic Brush...Who has it? Is it Worth the Hype?

totally worth the hype

Re: Clarisonic Brush...Who has it? Is it Worth the Hype?

is it ok to use it everyday? i heard it opens pores is that true?

Re: Clarisonic Brush...Who has it? Is it Worth the Hype?

If you just want to see how you like the concept...you can try the one by Olay...its around $30 or so and the replacement pads are cheaper. Its not as strong as the Clarisonic but does the job well.

Re: Clarisonic Brush...Who has it? Is it Worth the Hype?

^I've used that Olay brush. It is harsher on skin than Clarisonic and less efficient, IMO. The major difference between the two is that the Olay brush head actually rotates while the Clarisonic pulsates only and this is what makes it effective yet gentle enough to use daily.

To OP, I'd suggest to give it a try and, if you don't like it, you can always return it and get your money back.

Is it okay to use everyday?! The clarisonic?

Re: Clarisonic Brush…Who has it? Is it Worth the Hype?

I want to buy a Clarisonic as well but I hear it’s extremely harsh and people even reported vessels breaking because of it. :bummer: Do you guys use the sensitive head?

Re: Clarisonic Brush...Who has it? Is it Worth the Hype?

I have a dermanew one.. dont remeber how much I paid.. but I think its much cheaper.
I cared less about the brush.. but the sponge thing was worth it when I already had an almost
clear skin. its microdermabrasion cleanser worked very well too.. dont use it nomore.. too harsh on my cystic acne.

Re: Clarisonic Brush...Who has it? Is it Worth the Hype?

Really? Its harsher? I just got it two days ago as someone I know was raving about it. Its not a bad price either. I used it twice so far and what I like about it is that my face is squeaky clean afterwards. Its a rotating brush and I found it soft. If you want to make it softer, I think you probably could. You can use it with any cleanser and I also think any products you're using will penetrate better after using this or the Clarisonic as well.

Yes, if you use it once a day, preferably in the evening when you are trying to take all the gunk off of your face. I use it with a cream cleanser and it works better for me that way because I find foaming cleanser to be drying and harsh. Also, I try to concentrate on the problem areas of my face, such as nose, chin, and jawline, while using it ans spend less time on other facial areas.

I don't know if it's a miracle product as claimed by many but it does do good job at cleaning out pores, keeping blackheads at bay, and preventing any major break-outs, thereby, leading to clearer-looking skin.

I have sensitive skin and use normal head for the clarisonic and it works absolutely fine for me. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I have used the olay one and it literally scratched my face because of the rotating head. The reason clarisonic does not do that is because it vibrates. All you have to do is take the brush all over your face WITHOUT rubbing or pressing the brush on your skin and the brush will do the job for you.

By the way, I use clarisonic mia and prefer it on the original one.

Yeah, I got talked into it and made the purchase but it scratched my face and made it quite raw after 2-3 uses. What made me unhappy is that olay brush is not very cheap either. I spent about $40 cdn on it but it was a waste of money. If it works for you, then great because it will save you from spending $$$ on the clarisonic.

Re: Clarisonic Brush...Who has it? Is it Worth the Hype?

Well, it would be nice to get the Clarisonic eventually but for now I am going to try out the Olay. Hopefully it won't scratch me!!! :(

Re: Clarisonic Brush...Who has it? Is it Worth the Hype?

I have the Clarisonic and I like it. I don't find it abrasive. I feel it gives my skin a thorough clean. It's hard to say if the brush is keeping the breakouts at bay because I do a variety of things to maintain the health of my skin, but overall...I do like the Clarisonic.

Re: Clarisonic Brush...Who has it? Is it Worth the Hype?

I have the Clarisonic mia with the sensitive brush. Brought it 1 1/2 yrs ago after all the hype and scanning through many reviews on YouTube. Probably used it max 1 month in a row. It gives a fresh clean feel, clears your pores well and application of moisturizer is better afterwards. However, I am not a big fan. A good store brought scrub or homemade sugar/almond scrub (I have since switched to Lush’s brazened honey and love it more) would probably do the same job. If you already have clear skin then don’t bother buying. If you suffer from blackheads etc, then it does get rid of them with daily use. I feel it’s just a posh/fancy brush that makes your life easier when cleansing. Is more durable, sleek, battery life is longer, product feels heavy and well made but I don’t really care for all these attributes in a face brush and would have skipped buying it, had I known better.

I haven’t had any problems with it either. I didn’t find it harsh or abrasive. However, it did break me out initially during the purging period but that’s normal and goes away quickly. So nothing negative to say except the price.

PS: If you have acne then definitely not worth the buy (You don’t want to be using the same brush over and over again on your acne skin)

Re: Clarisonic Brush...Who has it? Is it Worth the Hype?

i have the clarisonic mia and use the sensitive brush head. you can use it every day if you'd like, but i use it about 2-3 times a week because i've heard over exfoliation is not good for the skin (causes skin to produce more oil and doesn't allow skin "down time" to repair). it does a great job cleaning the skin and making it feel smooth. i believe they instruct users to change the head every 3-4 months. if you are using it less frequently, like i am, you could probably extend it to 5-6 months. Plus i buy the twin package brush heads as it is cheaper than buying the single brush head.

Re: Clarisonic Brush...Who has it? Is it Worth the Hype?

It's so worth it! I use the sensitive brush for face and also got the body brush. Love both of them. With daily use you can see clear skin.
