When did PTI cozy up to MQM? I fail to remember. The only comment that I remember is when Imran said something like ‘MQM is a nazriyaati party, and they dont run on inherited leadership. They represent the middle class, and it is possible to make an alliance with them ***so long as they give up their militancy.’

***About comparisons with PPP and Gilanis case, regardless of how right or wrong that case was, the fact is that Gilani refused to act on a supreme court verdict. Try doing that anywhere in the world, and you go to jail. Verdicts are meant to be followed, whether you agree with them or not. If the judge was ‘going against the constitution’, PPP could have removed him on that basis. On the other hand, there was no verdict, or even a case against Imran of any sort. So comparisons between the two are needless.

let’s not even go there my friend… plenty of statements and ‘well lefts’… p.s inherited leadership is irrelevent for MQM, since day one the party has been controlled by a fat mafia leader who controls it very autonomously and kills anyone who he feels might be able to take over. I would actually welcome it if this fat piece of crap is replaced by someone else, even someone from his family if its the only way…
