So, I guess this new sitcom aired on BBC, last night. I didn’t hear about it until a few minutes ago when I gave up trying to force myself to sleep.

Has anyone watched it? Is it funny? Worth it?

I watched it - I was expecting it to be really funny because I’ve seen the Mr Khan stuff online, but personally found it kinda lame. I got a few laughs out of it but generally it was so OTT and cringe-worthy.

And the Brummie accents were so so ridiculous it ticked me off :naraz:

it was good, not too funny and certainly not one to watch with whole family. and apparently theyv received ALOT of criticism on facebook.

It's sure entertaining but not funny and weird at times. I'm huge fan of Little Mosque on the Prairie which is Canadian show and that is one quality show. Thought it would be something along same lines but it's not. Don't think show will last.

Found it lame, more suited to 1970 Brit Comedy. Full of over used cliches and jokes.

Little Mosque on Prairie received a lot of criticism too when it got aired in the beginning.

The comments posted on yt are so funny...someone wrote, "Adil Ray is not even full Pakistani". The irony. LOL

I think it's mostly people from Brums and Brads who are finding the series offensive. :D

I've seen that kinda stuff a thousand times before. Watch Diary of A Badman on Youtube. That's really good in terms of Asian humour. I've seen mixed reviews on Citizen Khan though...

I watched little mosque on the Prairie. Maybe thats just British Humour
GGM was funny at first but then it just resorted to crude jokes.
Citizen Kane was funny for 20 seconds.

Hareem, I did not find it offensive..even though I am from Birmingham :)
As soon as the Quran thing happened, I knew there would be complaints.

Ah yeah, I heard a lot of people on facebook/twitter were complaining about that scene. I just think the whole thing was just embarrassingly not funny and I’m someone who is normally easily amused :bummer:

going to have to disagree. Even that was not funny. Probably ok in the beginning but all i remember were the crude jokes that it was watered down too!

I dont think ive seen asian british funny!
