i’m sure if an adult male converts to Islam, he is not obligated to have a circumcision, is he? (is that even possible?)

so how bad is it to get it done when you’re older? (in case of a convert who really wants it done for technical reasons?)

I can only give you the Hanafi ruling on this.

Protecting your private parts and not uncovering them in front of a non-mehram is Farz (obligatory), circumcision is Sunnat. Farz takes over sunnat. So in case of an adult male converting to islam, he has 3 options.

1. Do circumcision himself.
2. His wife does it for him.
3. Dont do it if 1 and 2 are not possible.
