Fact of the matter is the US does what it does simply because it can, and that is much worse than any type of transgression and more corrupt than what a hundred Saddams could ever come up with.

What?

The U.S. ridding a rat like Saddam are terrible because they choose to do it simply because they can? I'm baffled at what you're trying to say.

Funny how now you're all concerned about the UN and its charter. Did you care about the UN when you declared war on Iraq? No, so I fail to see why it would matter now.

Skhan:
Try very hard to follow a complete discussion before you throw in your one cents worth. My posts have nothing to do with my "concern" about the UN and its Charter. Kaleem chose to make two outrageous and totally false claims in this thread. First, that the sanctions were "illegal." Second, that the US vetoed all UN Security Council Resolutions seeking to end sanctions. If those are the "facts" upon which he bases his opinions, he ought to do some serious reconsideration of his belief structure. At the very least, he ought to match the integrity of the New York Times and print a retraction and mea culpa.

Your opinion as to how corrupt the US is neither surprises nor offends. You don't even pretend to advance a factual framework to support it. Therefore, there's nothing to debate.

You're absolutely right, there is nothing to debate because what I stated is true. Most of your Congress not to mention the world agree. You want facts, read the newspapers, turn on the TV.

PS. and I don't mean Fox News.

While Kaleem continues his search for evidence to prove his assertion that the US vetoed UN Security Council Resolutions seeking to end sanctions against Iraq, I thought I’d make the job easier.

Here is a link to a list of all the vetoes ever cast during the lifetime of the UN.

AND GUESS WHAT??? ** The US never vetoed a single Resolution dealing with lifting sanctions on Iraq !!! ** Oh my !!! What a surprise !!!

Kaleem: Why did you make that up???
