Iran at least allows new churches, unlike Saudi Arabia.

Why is that your mind does not think about anything else apart from what is in it for muslims. You live in a non-muslim country but have no qualms in building mosques and utilising the facilities.

Its not my personal opinion if Saudis should build churches or not, I asked a question why and for who would Saudis build churches?

Then there must be some churches already.
Re: Muslims who live in the West while hating the West....
^ Really? Is that just an assumption because it would be cruel and inhumane to not let foreign workers practice their religion? Unless you know something I don't, Christians are not permitted any public display of their faith and The government doesn't allow churches of any kind. The draconian government restrictions on religious freedom ranks as one of the worst, if not the worst in the world. And this in of ll places, the birthplace of Islam, a religion that dictates that "there is no compulsion in religion".
Re: Muslims who live in the West while hating the West....
^Do you really think that Saudi Government follows Islamic Shariah?
Re: Muslims who live in the West while hating the West....
^ And does Islamic sharia say to destroy, devour churches again a rhetoric. Well i agree with sister hareem.
Well since i am in saudi presently the have compounds for the Goras (westerners) with high raised walls and they have provided them almost 99 percent facilities withing the compound.
Its because of this they have also built churches within, and obviously some legal activities for them (though illegal for the public hope you get my drift)
Re: Muslims who live in the West while hating the West....
Imagine what would have happened if you were asked to build high walls around your mosques. How would you have reacted. You would have cried yourself hoarse talking about discrimination. Why is it that you use different yardsticks in countries with Islam and different yardsticks for countries which do not practise Islam.
Getting the drift is easy but understanding your thought process is difficult.
Re: Muslims who live in the West while hating the West....
i agree. they should be allowed to build their churches/temples whatever. its pretty hypocritical since the their religious argument is already defeated when they allow churches inside compounds.
Re: Churches in Saudi Arabia [split from: Muslims who live in the West while..]
shouldn’t USA should do something about this then? saudis are not building churches for Christians…USA [assuming Christians leaders] are not asking saudis to do something about it. strange? maybe… :halo: its all about interest…their share is far greater than a matter of building few churches here and there. and USA being secular and so open minded, moderate and liberal, i’m sure it won’t pressure the saudis into building churches. saudis themselves will never do such a thing in million years n prolly USA will never ask saudis in a million years [unless they run out of oil in less than million years :halo: :p]
Re: Churches in Saudi Arabia [split from: Muslims who live in the West while..]
^ also quite true. it seems like the only person calling for putting pressure on KSA is Ron Paul. Otherwise republican or democrat alike seem to be content to give them a free pass.
which is surprising given that wahabism/salafism is now the favourite whipping boy of american media.
Re: Churches in Saudi Arabia [split from: Muslims who live in the West while..]
Are there any Sikhs in Saudi?
I have been told that the Saudi do not allow turbanned sikhs to enter the country.
Also, only mosques are allowed to be built in Saudi Arabia, all other religions followers are only allowed to worship at home and there can be no private religious gathering for non-muslims there.
Re: Churches in Saudi Arabia [split from: Muslims who live in the West while..]
If its true that saudi arabia doesnt allow other religion to practice freely... then i guess thats the most hypocrite and screwed up country.
Re: Churches in Saudi Arabia [split from: Muslims who live in the West while..]
^^ saudis don't issue visas to jews
they specifically said that on their Embassy's website in England
but it was taken down but its still being enforced
Saudis cannot represent all of us muslims
They should not control the holy sites and it must be run like the Vatican
Where the OIC type organization must run it
Re: Churches in Saudi Arabia [split from: Muslims who live in the West while..]
My info is also that all non-islam practice is restricted strictly in private in ksa.

Saudis don't even allow Shi'a masjids to be built.

Saudi practice of not allowing places of worship of other sects and other faiths is wrong ...period.
