Christmas

Do you exchange gifts on Christmas?

Our family does.

Re: Christmas

no, we do NOT! neither give, nor receive.

Re: Christmas

No, we just give gifts to kids teachers, and to any of the kids friends who give them gifts.

Re: Christmas

Re: Christmas

We mean it :sheen:

Re: Christmas

really hard to imagine PCG celebrating anything that has the word "merry" in it.

but to get to the question, no i dont exchange gifts with anyone. i always make it a point to remind people to put the christ back in christmas. and for that purpose this year i will be re-creating a huge santa crucification scene instead of the nativity one.

Re: Christmas

^^ :cb:

No I don’t . I just throw few ‘Marry Xmas’ here and there , and feel Americanized . Enough for a non-snowy day .

No.

Re: Christmas

Neighbors, close friends, teachers/mentors- yes because it's tradition and they do the same for our ocassions too (well most of them). No gift exchanges within family though.

Re: Christmas

No gift exchanges.

Re: Christmas

No gift exchanges at all!!! gifts are exchanged on Eid instead :)

Nope, just xmas card exchanges with neighbours and anyone else who gives one.

back in high school days us frnds used to give eachother gfts (only the gora frnds) but familywise no we do not :)

Re: Christmas

we give gifts to those that give us gifts.
we give gifts to the kids that are school age and do not yet have the confidence to feel good when all the class mates are discussing what they got for xmas (i.e. so they don't feel left out).
we give gifts to teachers and office folks.

this year we put up a tree too........so there.

karlo jo karna hai.

Toba toba ...

where is my gift?

you didn't get it yet?
I sent it via the same parcel service you used......

Re: Christmas

My children receive gifts from their father's side of the family.

We give gifts to those couples who give gifts to us.

We give gifts to Mr Maroush's work colleagues.

We give gifts to the childrens' school teachers.

We give gifts to those children who give gifts to our children.

Giving.... that's what we teach our children.
