My example was for providing an example to your mantra of separating religion from state. see in your own country which claims its higher secular values, its not followed. You must raise voice at relevant forums of your country instead of indulging and sermonizing people here, who think that their religion got some "Dos and Do nots’ and they are bound to follow it, because when they are linking themselves with a religion, they are not just doing for the sake of it. Tagging yourself related to a religion and then not following basics of that religion is one of the biggest hypocrisies in the world.

PS: You still have to understand the actual issue (may be jolie’s post make some sense to you among all the senseless posts here) and answer the questions in this thread, which asks you various scenarios to be discriminative or not?

Sir ji… this Gandhi Jayanti was not revealed to me by some holy scripture. It was told to me by ninja hattori, an Indian Muslim a year back, who had to face these restrictions. The practice is still there.

BTW, with all due respect, cow slaughter is still banned in Gujarata, India.

Freedom is not an absolute term in societies, where people from different backgrounds, religions and orientation live. You have to safeguard rights of all. chit bhi meri pat bhi meri, is not a solution for these societies.

If its that easy then why are crying for this gay couple. was there just one bakery in whole the country. They could have gone to another bakery (not one day in advance). But they were adamant to get a message from bakery, which don’t support their ideology. see who is being shameful and dishonest here.

Let me answer ur question re Gujarat - I am against the beef slaughter ban there. Modi has ruled there. And I am not a Modi fan.

I gave the last example of buying a beef a day early cause YOU made a big.deal about it. I was simply stating that your WHINING about not being able to BUY beef the SAME day as Gandhi jayanthi when whoever wants to can buy it day early is HYPOCRISY. Especially when ur position is this gay person or persons could have used another bakery. You gave a WRONG example of secular hypocrisy.

As to ur point I should sermonizing abt my country in other forums, I was simply responding to YOUR use of a RIDICULOUS example.

Note that I did NOT deny this happens in INDIA. I am making the point that 99.72 pct of the time people can buy beef in India.
