Look people, history is witness and it is a fact that wherever white man has gone; destruction, disease and moral corruption has followed. It just so happens that mostly this "white man" is christian (yes I know ten thousand different branches of christianity). So what does that tell us? It tells us that christianity breeds destruction and immoral behvior. That is my story and I am sticking to it.

Kaleem - what part of Irish Catholic includes urdu? Husband is out of country and if I call him for this I get spanked for sure when he gets home for acting like a child. Translate or it will be two days before I can yell at you or blush, one or the other.
Besides - c'mon, trying to practice this aunty stuff, man, it's harder than it looks, and I got two kids hitting 18+, got to start nailing it down. The aunties who would do it normally are in Paki, so all up to me to ruin...errr, save them.

Minah, I jsut advised Sara to do sadqa. Now you may have to wait and ask the hubby for the meaning of that. I will however, translate the rest of the stuff. There is a superstion/belief in our culture about casting a bad eye. It is not the intention of the person to think negatively or wishing something bad for the person, but you will hear people say "Do sadqa, some one was just staring at your kid/wife/husband....

EDIT: umm, you really aren't saying I am wishing her evil are you? I would never do that, I can't do that, I really think she is a sweet kid and would never even think about harming her even unintentionally.
