But that doesn’t mean that there are no formal meeting places for women. Women get chances on many occasion like Shadi, Meelad, Qurankhani and even soyam, etc to chit chat. My sister tells me that women have this strange habit of discussing about clothes, etc even in soyam, etc.

One of our aunty, can read three para (not paragraphs) of Quran during a Qurankhwani in one half an hour and that while discussing all things with the other women. My sister notes the number of para she read and makes ensure that someone read them again

tell me about it, I have seen it happening everywhere, women just love to talk about their clothes/bags/shoes everything!

in my hometown, when we had shadi gatherings and all that, only immediate family men were allowed inside, like chacha, mama, or first cousins! … we had this strict parda thing and you are suppose to cover your face when you are entering haveli, guards or men who are standing outside are not suppose to see your faces, infact they were suppose to go away and not stand closer to haveli gate, when the cars are entering the haveli! it was cool, because I can see everyone and nobody can see you!
