Thats what we are here to find out, do they exist???

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

Why haven't we had a snob come on yet to say they prefer Green and Black's organic 70% cocoa only, yet?

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

Even more reason for me to start an export business now.

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

I shall make this my personal mission, to give out samples of british choc in amreeka, get them hooked, and there u go, I have just created a whole host of target customers.

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

They are owned by Nestle now, still easily available, no round tin anymore, its hexagonal, and they've changed the variety a bit. Tempted to send u some.

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

Rupay - all the "fu fu" americans eat european cholcoate.

If you want to target the "real americans" - just sit in Sam's club and give them a buy one get one free special :)

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

yea plz better be cheap :P

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

I am quite partial to Green & Blacks chocolate (most of their range apart from the dark chocolate)

There is this nice chocolate shop in London- Partridges- they do nice ‘fancy’ chocolates.

Thorntons is always nice.

Belgian chocolate:yummy:

When I went to Berlin, I was surprised to see how many specialist chocolate shops they had. They have such a vast range of fresh chocolates. I was very impressed and you can get chocolate shaped in anything.

Cadbury’s dairy milk/galaxy/maltesers/twix are my favourite.

I don’t really like Hershey’s.

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

Israeli chocolate wins hands down. I’ve never tasted anything that comes nearly close to how good their chocolates are. All their dairy stuff is awesome. Expensive, but totally worth it!

I’ve stopped eating american chocolates since discovering israeli chocolates, but every now and then when their shops are closed and im having a craving for chocolate i’ll eat the american stuff and its like sugar overload… complete garbage! :nook: Cant believe I used to love that stuff!

As for desi chocolate.. gosh the chocolates in pakistan are like “do number” ki

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

You can join my club. Down with Hershey’s. :snooty:

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

Define "fu fu", are they wannabe posh?

Sam's club, hmmm, don't think I like the sound of that. Bogof? That won't do much for my profits.

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

Isreali? Boycott!!!

Quite interested in the taste tho…

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

Talking of desi chocolate, has anyone had this stuff that kids get there. Its in a stick sachet (like you get sugar / coffee in) and its a chocolate goo stuff, like a thick chocolate sauce. I stole one from a kid and it tasted ok, vanilla chocolate.

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

i love British chocolates....not so keen on European, i like Brazilian but other European chocolate has a somewhat desi milky taste.

i'm not to keen on thorntons...too sickly...the pralines are nice, otherwise a no no...i love thorntons toffee though

hershey's are awful...my dad brought a whole load from costco...they are still in the kitchen drawer bcos no-one likes them...not even the kids

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

^ haha, u r in my club too!

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

Hersheys chocolate… now why would you torture yourself like that…on purpose???

European chocolate rocks… though i prefer the ‘real’ taste of chocolate than the sugary crap filled with hydrogenated vegetable fats and milk solids… :snooty:

Some of the ones i like:

English: Green and Blacks, Roccoco, Divine,… and for a sugar fix i go with anything from the Galaxy range

Belgian: Anything by my bud Pierre Marcolini :), Callebaut,

French: Valrhona, Michael Cluizel and any of the chocolatiers in the arrondisements of Paris,

Spanish: Piedras de Chocolate, Blanxart, Valor,

Italian: Gianduja, Ferrero range, Venchi, Amedei,

Swiss: Lindt and Sprungli, Teuscher,

I also like the Lebanese chocolate Patchi.

As for Israeli, Skittlez… which Israeli brands are you talking about? The only popular one i know is by Max Brenner… and sure as heck ain’t eating his chocolate

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

^ Pasek zman's chocolate bars, klik truffles, mekupelet chocolate logs, elite chocolate bars- the whole range is off the hook.. and then there's others but the names are in hebrew so I dont know what they are.

Never heard of or seen these max brenner's chocolates. I only get the chocolates imported from Israel from their kosher stores. Deeelicious!

Re: Chocolate - British, American, European, Desi???

'tov toda' Skittlez ;).... well after some internet research, i found the ones you named above are all b*stardised versions of the european ones we already have available, so i won't venture out.... :D
