Chineese food is so different in Pakistan from here in US. I liked the chineese food that I had in Pakistan. I think over here it watered down for gora's taste preference.

I love Chinese food, they have so much more variety with vegetarian meals and tofu, I can actually get away with giving my husband vegetarian meals once in a while.
I tried making chinese food at home and I just can't get the fried rice the same way :(

I have tried Thai food but they put coconut stuff in their food that spoils the whole thing. Like coconut milk or oil or whatever it is.

Thai food rocks as well...except you usually ahve to sit in some fancy resteraunt to get it - chinese food is just so common that even the nicest resteraunt does take-out. Chinese people are in tune with the needs of busy and poor college students. Allah unhe jannat naseeb karay. Ameen.

I live in city where in some area even the street signs are in Chinese. Still I am yet to find a dirt cheap Chinese place. I will keep looking though.

Agent Smith - must be San Francisco, a lot of coconut milk sounds like burmese, which is fantastic too, very hot. Thai usually has a selection, go to the vege sect, usually steamed.

There are tons of Thais dishes that dont use Cocunut....lots of sesame and peanut based dishes....There is this one papaya salaf.. Sum Tum that will just set ur mouth on fire!!
