Re: China's national day parade: Impressive
reminds me of Soviet Union....besides democracies don't parade military equipment
military parades showing military equipment is designed to silence dissent in the country
its an out dated relic of then 20th century

If it reminds you of the Soviet Union that is because most of Chinese military equipment is copied Soviet equipment. China currently buys 1 billion dollars of equipment from Russia, the equipment that Russia will not let it copy. All Chinese missles are copied Russian missiles, so are their jet fighters and tanks. In fact even their goose-steps are more like Russian goose-steps and not like German ones!

^^ and Chinese soldiers are not battle tested....the last time they were in a war...they got their ass kicked by Vietnam where they lost over 100,000 men killed in 2 months of fighting with Vietnam in 1979 where as US lost 58,000 men in 10 years of War in Vietnam

Because Chinese are not warmongers, unlike U.S. which has its history filled with invasions, and other selective "democratic measures". :)
There's always the other perspective to everything.
And just for the record, I'm pretty sure Chinese Armed Forces are ready for any challenges posed otherwise China would have been overrun by democratic U.S. by now under the pretext of liberation for dissented, suppressed chinese people.

Talk to China's neighbours such as Vietnam, Japan, Korea before making such analysis.
And just for the record, I'm pretty sure Chinese Armed Forces are ready for any challenges posed otherwise China would have been overrun by democratic U.S. by now under the pretext of liberation for dissented, suppressed chinese people.
They were about to be overrun in 1953 when MacArthur wanted to invade China during the Korean War but Truman fired him.
So do some research before you post.
Re: China's national day parade: Impressive
LOL if "shoulda, coulda, woulda" mattered OBL would be CIA chief today. Please try harder next time you decide to compare two nations, one of which has a history of aggression and counting....
Re: China's national day parade: Impressive
A military parade that doesn't have weapons around? I am shocked. I guess when India does its military parade our dear dumbass M2k thinks its fine!

So for a factual response you respond with banter and think you have scored some points.
Ok got it.

Are you really this stupid or just pretend to be while posting on gupshup?
Its an national day parade NOT a military day parade, commemorating the 60th anniversary when civil war ended in china in 1949.
Pakistan has a military parade on september 6th, which is the armed forces day...not on august 14th, similarly egypt has a military parade on october 6th...
jeez man....

It were 6,900 men, not 100,000.
