China raises pitch, Delhi backs off trip to Twang–restricts D. Lama trip

At least China dears to speak out!!

BEIJING: The Chinese foreign ministry decided it was time to juggle with words to convey a stern warning to New Delhi after Indian foreign minister

S M Krishna chose to respond to a statement made by it earlier.

The war of words began this morning when Beijing expressed “strong dissatisfaction” over Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s visit to Arunachal Pradesh last week. It asked India “not trigger disturbance in the disputed region so as to facilitate the healthy development of China-India relations.”

After Krishna made his pitch, the Chinese foreign ministry tweaked its earlier statement to advise India “not stir up trouble” in what it regards as the disputed area of Arunachal Pradesh.

A few questions:

  • Were the Chinese emboldened by the fact that Singh avoided visiting Tawang, the area that Beijing has been claiming as its own for a long time?

  • Why did China wait for four days after Singh’s Arunachal visit to register its protest?

Beijing is usually very quick to protest whenever anyone behaves differently from its expectations on controversial issues like Arunachal Pradesh, Taiwan, Xingjian, Tibet and the Dalai Lama. For instance, it has questioned the decision of more than a dozen countries to grant visa to the Dalai Lama and even threatened them with trade action.

That the statement came on a day when Pakistani prime minister Yousuf Raza Gilani landed in Beijing on his first visit to China as prime minister and immediately met the Chinese president and premier.

Is Beijing warming up to make an even louder protest against New Delhi’s likely move to permit the Dalai Lama to visit Arunachal Pradesh and possibly Tawang?

Arunchal Pradesh (South Tibet) border dispute between India and China
Informed sources said a Tawang visit will make the Dalai Lama even more popular among the Tibetans in China and cause additional headaches to Communist Party leaders in Lhasa.

The Prime Minister would have certainly garnered more votes if he chose to visit the shrine associated with the 6th Dalai Lama in Tawang. China’s claim on Tawang rests on the fact that it is the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama, who played an important role in the development of Tibetan culture.

But Singh apparently chose not to provoke the neighboring country by visiting Tawang. The question is whether New Delhi will allow the Dalai Lama to do so. Krishna raises pitch, China tweaks earlier statement on Arunachal, Saibal Dasgupta, TNN 13 October 2009, 08:58pm IST

Now according to indian media, Pakistan has suddenly so much influence on China that China waited for Pakistan prime minister to land in before issuing that statement.

Jokers!

:omg:

China knows right now Pakistan is feeling vulnerable because of sustained US pressue on them ... so it is trying to "woo" Pakistan with some statements .... just scoring brownie points here ... nothing concrete. But i guess in these times you need a shoulder ...... so there they are .... the Chinese.

Re: China raises pitch, Delhi backs off trip to Twang–restricts D. Lama trip

^^ This is what good neighbours are for!

But how would indians know? The worst neighbour in the world! Only good to bully smaller ones, sponsers of terrorism in neighbouring countries and threatening them with wars all the time.

Well if you are happy with this “lollypop” then good for you … as for good neighbour … the only country in the region which is accused by all its neighbours of supporting terrorism is …

Documentory proof …

  1. Iran … Iran lodges complaint with Pakistan for its inaction against terror-group Jundullah

  2. Afghanistan … Al Jazeera English - CENTRAL/S. ASIA - Afghan report stirs Pakistan debate

  3. China … Daily Times - Leading News Resource of Pakistan

  4. India … you won’t belive India … so let it pass

The only country killing innocent indians and raping kashmiri women issssssssssss???
no multiple choice here mate only one country:

INDIA!!!

yeah nothing concrete
Indian does not have the bowls to do anything
it can only bully (again only bully nothing else they would not dare to step into pakistan one INCH) small countries.
Put your money where your mouth is India come on show some guts and say something to China lolz

So you want to say Pakistan and China have bad relationship?

Only in indian wet dreams, :omg:

China and Iran never accused Pakistan of terrorism, they merely asked Pakistan to stop terrorists to enter their territory from Afghanistan via Balochistan and FATA (trained by, guess who?).

Know the difference?

Now the evidence for indian terrorist training activities in Afghanistan is so huge that even your allies like americans are asking you to keep it low.

The problem with you indians is that you believe all the bull$hit your media feeds you. And you actually believe that india is not training likes of BLA, TTP etc.

Even though your Rahul Gandhi says that you should ignore Pakistan, you still can not leave us alone in peace, this is your nature!

A proof is you and loads of your indian friends being on a Pakistani board here, LOL. Accept the fact, despite your huge population, you always think small!

This is the difference between you and China… !

Pakistan's government does not support terrorism. Thus far it has lacked the backbone to crush international terrorists who have made Pakistan their base, although it has claimed it will crush them now (I'll believe it when I see it. The "planned" offensive in Wazirstan has been stuck in "planning" since June...). There is a substantive difference in terms of intent, although concededly not in result.

1) The US is not an "ally" of India.

2) What the general said is Indian influence in Afghanistan upsets Pakistan and this had a negative impact on Pakistan vis-a-vis Afghanistan. He did not say Hindu India with a Sikh prime minister of a party with a Catholic leader was running Islamic fundamentalist terrorist groups.

Indian surely does not need bowls ... those are in dire need in you know where. As for what it is capable of .... time and again it has psuhed the enemy back more then "an inch" .... look at the history ... even your own history will do .... and you will realise it was more then an inch.

As for China .... it is just sabre rattling from them ... you want to get excited about it , be my guest.

Just showing who has been accused of providing support to terror .... in both the reports .... Afghanistan is not mentioned. You can igve this "lollypop" to your own people but the Chinese and Iranians know where the terror groups are operating from and who is supporting them. Time to wake up and look around ........

Well China also knows how to deal with India.
No matter what China knows about terror groups
important thing is that China knows Pakistani people have nothing to do with the terrorists
thats why China and Pakistan always have had cordial relationship.

China has strategic interest in Pakistan ...... if it really were a friend then last year it would have helped a) in the financial crisis of Pakistan (they had to go to IMF) and b) had blocked getting Hafeez Syed getting named as a terrorist by UN :D

Now this is the article word by word from your posted source. Show me where does "China accuses Pakistan of providing support to terror?"

China asked Zardari to act against ETIM?
*Daily Times Monitor

LONDON: China has called on Islamabad to take action against the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM), which it says may be plotting attacks into China from the Tribal Areas.

In two meetings over recent months, senior Chinese officials have warned the Pakistani government about the threat. Chinese officials revealed details of the meetings to Mushahid Hussain, a former minister, during a visit to Central Asia.

“They told me that the ETIM has its military headquarters in [the Tribal Areas] and is planning to attack China on the 60th anniversary celebration of the communist revolution in October,” said Mushahid. He said in February Meng Jianzhu, China’s minister for public security, flew from Beijing to Shanghai to discuss the threat with Zardari during his visit to China. “The minister met with him for 90 minutes to discuss this issue.” In March, said Mushahid, Beijing dispatched a special envoy to Islamabad to discuss the alleged threat posed by the ETIM.*

China warns Pakistan about terrorists on former's territory (supported by? ... hmmm.), Pakistan takes action to remove them. It is called co-operation!

As said before, despite all the jealousy and desperate efforts by hindu extremists ,the worst neighbor of the world, friendship of China and Pakistan will survive and grow stronger! You can eat your heart out, LOL.

Some one mentioned that India cannot think of taking one inch of Pakistan and now you claim that there is an area inside Pakistan that is under control of Indians:D

As i said the Chinese know … and this is not the first time it has happened .. here is more …

Daily Times - Leading News Resource of Pakistan

The federal interior minister, Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao, during his visit to Beijing, got an earful from the Chinese minister of public security, Zhou Yongkang Zhou, who asked Pakistan for the umpteenth time to protect Chinese nationals working in Pakistan. The reference was to the assault and kidnapping of Chinese citizens in Islamabad by the Lal Masjid vigilantes. The Chinese minister called the Lal Masjid mob “terrorists” who targeted the Chinese, and asked Pakistan to punish the “criminals”. Mr Sherpao, who must have regretted being in Beijing, lamely rejoined that “Pakistan would take more rigorous action to safeguard the security of Chinese people and organisations in Pakistan”.

The Indian bogey sells well in Pakistan … but it doesn’t count for much outside … everyone knows including the Chinese

Re: China raises pitch, Delhi backs off trip to Twang–restricts D. Lama trip

Again some indian insecurity at play. Where did I “claim” that there is an area inside Pakistan that is under control of indians?

You indians are just too much, :omg:

PS. Still waiting for you to show us : where China “accuses” Pakistan of supporting terrorism.

But after reading your last reply, it is pretty clear how indians interpret stuff. :omg:

Perhaps you are waiting to be Bi#%h slapped like US did in the Kerry Lugar bill ....... but then perhaps you dont get the message till it is delivered in black & white. I see you don't get hints ... you want it straight up .... trust me you will get it ..... just like your "ally" US is giving it now :D

Re: China raises pitch, Delhi backs off trip to Twang–restricts D. Lama trip

^^ So in other words you don’t have anything substantial to backup your claim about China accusing Pakistan of terrorism?

Thought so! :omg:

Seems the abswer is right there.

Spoke too soon …
