My two cents: Nobody is your eternal friend. You just have to make the best decisions for the sake of country and that'll determine who will be your friend and who not

Islam as a personal religion is a personal right. Sorry to say, but islam should be banned as a system to run govt. We are not ready for that. All of us need to go to the basic and correct ourselves first

Agreed. No such thing as 'friends' between states.

But why is India not a better choice than China? If not on religioius grounds, then what? Pakistan is otherwise a strange fiction.

Pressing the point. Han Chinese, afaik, constitute the majority of Chinese Muslims. Religious practice was allowed…first time I see an outright ban.

Well, appreciate that this is your opinion...but a) they are banning personal religious practice. b) Islam isn't banned as a system of government as it stands, and is a fundamental part of the Pakistani political makeup. c) what if China decides to 'ban' Islam around the world...

religions of all sorts were pretty much wiped out/watered down as a state policy in “real” china. also, ban gradually enforced onto the so-called “autonomous” provinces/regions of china like tibet (tibetan buddhism), inner mongolia(again tibetan buddhism), hui (islam, hui arent han chinese but often the claim is made, hui are the majority muslims of china), xinjiang (again islam).

none of this is new, just state policy from over half a century.

the taliban are blamed for defacing bamiyan buddhas. the commis of china have defaced way way more buddhas - both ancient and modern.

I agree ... Me thinks we were crazy ... banning religion is different to being secular in governance ... Pak does not need to change ... it needs to enforce. China policy, now that needs to change.

Maybe because China does not stab in the back while smiling on your face showcasing 'dumbos ka tamasha'? They dont play backdoor games without the public knowledge which harms Pakistan and that with China Pakistan does not have a bloody history of trains filled with muslims being SLAUGHTERED only because they were muslims?

If you read the link, it says this measure was taken after some terrorist attack by muslims. Are we not all against the stupid followers who have hijacked the religion of Islam in Pakistan itself? China is not a muslim state so they do not understand Islam is not what those terrorists portray it to be. So China came to this conclusion to avoid further spread of the disease of destruction the dajjalic agents are carrying out while carrying out the banner which says ISLAM. It is a shame for and a duty of the muslims to show the world that Islam is a religion of PEACE. It is not the duty of CHINA. So while Islam-mania (destruction, murderers) is rampant by the muslims of the world, Muslims do not have any right to object to how China wants to manage their areas. In this particular case, Chna is not the oppressor so dont make it sound like that. Actually, they want to control the oppressors and madness from spreading that's why they've decided this. Murderers have no religion.

Pakistan on the other hand, instead of banning the religion, need to educate idiots who are misusing religion. Because being an Islamic state, it is the duty of Pakistani state. But all it is creating is more and more jahils in all sectors.
