What were you scared of the most in your childhood? And what about now?
I have always been creeped out by lizards and creepy crawly insects. ![]()

Re: Childhood fears
I don't mind insects or lizards. But I did have a very unusual childhood fear: I was afraid of pigeons.

Re: Childhood fears
Okay this may sound very weird to some of you but on our way to my grandparents house there is a grave turned into a shrine of some sort...it's right under a very scary looking tree in a very quiet area. Whenever we drive past it.. I ALWAYS close my eyes. For some reason it scares me to death since as long as I can remember. I can't open my eyes there. Tried to be brave but I close my eyes as soon as I see it from a distance. so weird and scary at the same time. :/
Re: Childhood fears
Been scared of bees and wasps ever since I can remember. The fear of the unknown, really as I've never been stung.
Re: Childhood fears
since i lived in a village until i was like 14 years old, i came in close contact with 8-10 feet long Cobras and just once or twice but three times. i came within a few feet of the cobra...i was really worried if the cobras will crawl up to my cot and climb up. on rainy nights, i used to stay up all night to keep an eye around my cot.
Re: Childhood fears
overhead electric lines that cross roads, especially while riding behind on a motorcycle and looking up - it looks like they are all falling towards you and you are doomed.

Re: Childhood fears
I 've always been afraid to get into a fight (a part from flying cockroaches . With time it was not about fight but hurting some one physically. And if i did, it some how had this terrible affect on me. It would haunt me for weeks. Until ofcourse I got into a fist fight with some one else and blah blah, the cycle would repeat.
I remember in my 6th class I kind of ruthlessly threw this guy, Yasir in air. He landed on some chairs and desks. He used to bite(literally) while playing maram peeti (u know, hitting the opposite team members with a tennis ball). So on this particular day in recess time I had him take it.
He didn't show up for the next couple of days, as i remember.
But when he showed up, he had his plaster all over his neck and right had. He barely walked....
And my heart sunk like stone. And when he approached a teacher with his home work, or hell anything... it would beat like hell... i couldn't take it... I was like what if he told the teacher...no...NO...NOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo
Still haunts me to this date. I am so afraid. :(
Re: Childhood fears
I use to look under the bed, if room had big closet then look into them. Only after making sure no one was there
I would lock the room and sleep.
