Re: Childhood fears
whenever i crossed any river by train in India, i was really scared that the train either may jump off the rails or the bridge itself might cave-in. :(
Re: Childhood fears
I am afraid of all animals, be it chicken, cat or dog!!
:(
Same here....not an animal person. Don't like being up close to them. Apart from that...I don't like repetitive noises, such as toys that play music...and especially if it's played over and over again..it's maddening.

Re: Childhood fears
i would always pull the shower curtain before closing the bathroom door to make sure no boogie monster was hiding in there. :hinna:
Re: Childhood fears
As a kid i used to get scared from everything when my mom was not with me, at night i always tried to stay up thinking that right after closing my eyes some monster will come right in front of my face.
Re: Childhood fears
This reminds me that when I was younger we had a swing set in the backyard and on windy nights I would look out the window and see the empty swings move back and forth and get really creeped out. Also growing up I used to have this weird passion for reading horror novels, I would read them throughout the day, and be jumpy at night my mom used to be so annoyed with me...and I remember had to tuck my feet into my blanket very securely so nobody can reach out from under the bed and grab them...lots of silly stuff.
Re: Childhood fears
really pigeons? any particular incident?
Not really a particular incident but it just creeped me out when they flew over my head. And that eventually developed into a general fear of pigeons, ie even when they were walking around on the ground I would not go near them.
On my first trip to London, visiting Trafalgar Sqaure was like torture to me.
In my early teens I grew out of that fear, Alhamdulillah.
Re: Childhood fears
people have some interesting fears…
i feared my bedroom window
cuz i thought criminals would come through it and kidnap me or murder me
