Take a look at the notable Republicans and "Conservative’ pundits with their record of service to this country.. Note the extra jingoism in their demanor these days and look at the list and then wonder where it comes from:
Re: Chickenhawks…
hahah. This is a good and “selective” list. American-Pakistanis seems to be that biased against Republicans. What about the following Republicans somehow missing from the list? Please do your home work. This Rense guy simply omitted names like Powell.
**
Colin Powell: Career Army, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Gerald Ford: Navy, WWII.
Bob Dole: Army, WWII, seriously wounded.
Chuck Hagel: two Purple Hearts & a Bronze Star, Vietnam.
Duke Cunningham: nominated for Medal of Honor, Navy Cross, Silver Stars, Air Medals, Purple Hearts.
Jeff Sessions: Army Reserves, 1973-1986.
Lindsey Graham: National Guard lawyer.
G.H.W. Bush: Pilot in WWII. Shot down by the Japanese.
Tom Ridge: Bronze Star for Valor in Vietnam.
**
And what about the anti-war columnists? Did they all serve and somehow realized that war is terrible. I am sure you will find bunch of left leaning Americans who never served either.
:nono3:
But who in the world is G.H.W. Bush?
The pundits only talk. Do you really think they will take Rush L. in the Army?

Happy Ramzan and peace to the world.
Grand Daddy Bush? (to the rescue)

You do the same leaning on the right wing. What's the difference??????
Politics should be taken on issues only, be it Pakistan or USA. Since USA policies effects the rest of the world, including Pakistan that is why ppl here express their feelings for both parties. The winds are against the Republican conservatives around the world, including Pakistan. Thus you see ppl anxious to see change in White House. What's wrong with that Mr. Right?

No sure what change one can expect. For democrats this list is like a band-aid.
My info (and I may be wrong) that Republicans are more popular among the US soldiers. US military has more republicans than democrats. The ratio seems to be somewhere like 80 to 20. The polls among military are not conducted / allowed. So take these numbers with a grain of salt.
The voting preferences of soldiers don't change the fact that the war mongers in Washington are usually Republican white men who want to send boys to fight a war they wouldn't fight themselves.

OK! let me understand. These "BOYS" know that these big bad white Republicans will send them to die, and still these "BOYS" want to be Republicans? hahah.
Next time you will say that XYZ general sits in the GHQ while the "BOYS" do all the fighting. All the "war monger" generals should be sitting in the front line trenches. Mighty funny.
not the same anti .. not the same.. the Generals are themselves get promoted from ranks that participate in combat .. one form or the other.
how have the Rich White Men on the list ever put their own a$$ in the line of fire?

Hmm... let's test that theory against 20th Century facts.
Kosovo: Clinton
Vietnam. John Kennedy expands advisors and Lyndon Johnson escalates the war.
Korean War. Harry S. Truman.
WWII: FDR
WWI: Woodrow Wilson
Not a GOP war monger among them.
On the GOP side all we've got is Gulf War I, Afghanistan and Iraq.
*war·mon·ger * n. One who advocates or attempts to stir up war.
The above describes the old fogies in charge of the GOP and the current adminstration. I'm not talking about 20th Century history. I am talking about the draft dodgers that are currently sending our kids to die for their cause.
** Draft Dodger **: (noun) someone who is drafted and illegally refuses to serve.
So Seminole: care to tell us which person was drafted and illegally refused to serve who is now in the Bush administration.
Clinton, Wilson, Kennedy, Johnson, Truman and FDR all fit the definition of war monger based upon advocating their wars.
During the 60's and 70's, there were lots of anti-war protestors who did not provide aid and comfort to the enemy. Unfortunately, Kerry was not one of them.
I frankly find it distasteful for you to denigrate the cause for which "our kids" are fighting and dieing. If you had a child fighting over there, you, like them, would probably believe much more in the cause and our leaders who have sent them there. Do me a favor and don't try to persuade me or anyone else that you're voting for Kerry out of concern for my child.
Draft dodger was a poor choice of words. How about responsibility dodger? During the 60's and 70's these neo cons didn't put their life on the line like Kerry, nor did they protest against the reckless war because I am sure they were all for it, they just didn't want to put their butts on the line.
Frankly what I find distasteful is sending Americans to their death for an unjust war fought for the wrong reasons at the wrong time in the wrong place that is doing NOTHING to make us more secure. Just because our leaders made a decsion by no means makes it the right one.
I have friends and family and family of friends who are fighting over there and it actually makes me more against this 'cause' than for it. My concern for the young men and women of this country as well as for the future of my country is just a line item on a very long list as to why I am voting for Kerry.
I feel sorry for some 18-year-old kid who joined National Guard to get some college money. Next thing he knew he was in Iraq taking bullets and dying for few crooks and liars in White house.

Yeah Yeah! If you feel that sorry, go take his place in national guards. Otherwise keep your lectures saved up. You may need them to get a political appointment from Kerry administration.

The "CAUSE" that these men and women are fighting and dieing for is the safety and security of our country. For you and others to obfuscate and denigrate this "cause" for partisan election reasons dishonors the living who are still fighting as well as the dead.
IMO, it is fair to debate the question of whether the war is actually advancing the "CAUSE" and/or what we can or must do now to further advance the "cause." But you don't do that and neither does Kerry. That makes you both unfit to be President.
