'chhila'/post pregnancy 40 days

My grandmother died right after my father was born at home,due to post partum sepsis.
To this day I have heard the elderly ladies in my family say that she died because she did not observe these traditions and went to the roof top after taking a shower,with damp hair where apparently 5 jinns came and made her sick and she passed away…(I still wonder how they knew it was 5 jinns in particular…no offense intended..!!)

My great grandmother ,I have heard,was very particular about these chilla things…She was very particular about one more thing not mentioned here,that you are not supposed to eat anything or drink anything from a home where a woman in her ‘chilla’ is residing…

i just asked my mom and she said she knew about many people doing this too !!!
