The most stupid, yukiest, cheesiest and lame commercial I have ever seen are on PTV prime!!!

There are only handful so the most played is: Kabab king, few grocery stores(the lamest of all) and travel agents!!!
For past few days we have been watching the UK broadcasts and the commercials for UK people are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better and have some professional tone to them.

PUNJAB PHARMACY - There’s a maulana looking uncle (with a daaarii and all), talking on a phone in one scene and filling prescriptions in another.. with the paindo-est looking girl ever, wearing a sleeveless shirt singing (moving the hands and everything), “Punjab pharmacy, lajawaab pharmacy”!! 
There’s another one that I don’t remember (I’m actually trying not to remember it on purpose!), of some grocery store in NY… that’s the CORNIEST commercial ever! It features a couple of the members from the ghetto-desi crew (I mean this one girl even has on a huge friggin’ marijuana leaf pendant around her neck!), singing something stupid about saving dollars!! (This one gets two.. !!)
I mentally tune out the commercials on Prime TV... Now that I think about it, I agree. They are lame and cheesy. Most of them are probably shot by their enterprising bhateejas, using a JVC camcorder and a karaoke microphone.
LOL, I must agree too, that the commercials from the UK are much more professional. The ones from US don’t know how to act, grab their handycam and start shooting whatever.
The worst commercial of ALL time on Prime was that mobile phone commercial, with that guy and girl moving their mouth up and down singing to that song. (Commercial of the year in 2002).
The worst one now is all the grocery store ones. Like when the two girls talk about getting the blow dryer for so cheap. Are you telling me that this grocery store has cheaper and better stuff than Wal-Mart!?
Then the other grocery store one with the ‘bhoothni’ ladies. Like the one lady with extremly tight jeans and worst clothes, another wearing a pink saari, they all look like whores. 
Roti Boti is another useless commercial. What a name!

Eg - 007 Basmati Rice. A rice commerical with a baba ji in a tux saving his daughter from an evil factory operator. How romantic.

Seriously, the ones on grocery stores are the funniest!!!
And recenlty they have been playing "kaban king" commercial over and over again... my dad was soo tired of hearing it he almost broke the tv!!!
I don't know why but "kababish" in nyc sells kababs, naans at fraction of the cost that kabab king sells and maybe that is one of the reasons kabab king pays so much for the repeated commercials!
Personally I find these ads so annoying that i would make an effort not to go to the advertised places. Someone was over at our office the other day encouraging us to advertise on prime tv. I ofcourse shouted out a loud and clear NO to my boss and the guy making the offer and made it very clear that I would not appear in any such commercial if they went ahead with it. When I gave them the reason, much to my surprise, they both believed tht it is these cheap ads which capture more attention and hence draw people and that it’s ok to have a commercial with some lousy jingle to it
