Re: Check-in the Petrol (gasoline) rates in your area..
Impractical outside of Cali. I only have 3 superchargers here in the whole city and you also have the explosion hazard with big batteries. A tesla just caught on fire while being charged by a supercharger not so long ago.
I think a hybrid is the way to go, though if only they were more powerful. Most of the power is needed in accelerating, so I think that we can have powerful hybrids with superchargers that provide the oomph in the beginning while the gasoline engine or even battery can take over again while cruising along.

i wonder why the airlines aren't reducing fares when the oil prices are soooo low. they are quick to add 'fuel surcharge' when the price of oil jacks up a notch...they are gouging us for sure!

^ when I went to Pakistan from U.S.A. for the first time in early nineties in December, I paid $1600 USD for the round trip. After more than 20 years, the cost of ticket to ticket to Pakistan in December is pretty same.

^ those were the times when air travel was at a premium and there wasn't much competition as compared to now. my point was/is that airlines are quick to add 'fuel surcharge' when the fuel prices go up then why don't the travelers get that 'fuel surcharge' removed in order to bring the cost of air travel down?
i paid $1200 Canadian to travel from Toronto to Delhi on British Airways in January 2015. in September of the same year, i paid $888 Canadian from Chicago to delhi on Turkish Airlines and now i'm gonna pay $1330 Canadian for travel to Delhi from Toronto in October, 2016.
