Let’s say a man needs 40 units of widgets called sex every month. Initially, it’s not a problem for the wife. But once children are in the picture-- and throw in sloth, familiarity, weight gain and** boredom**-- the freuency takes a dive.

Well the mistress can't be unnattractive if she's a mistress, and the wife can't be ALL that unnattractive since the demented husband decided to get married to her in the first place.

Whose problem? I am sorry I got befuddled in you emotional circular logic. Do you see me complaining?

Men cheating on their wives is the least of MY problems. I am merely citing a reason, in response to the threadopener’s query, as to what may have prompted these men to cheat. If, according to you, the man in your life bores you, then leave by all means. Why ***** and moan and try to change the guy?
The cheating men are not trying to change their women, they are finding an alternative.

Men: i have needs, so i will go out and have that need met
woman: i have needs too, so i will change him to meet mine

so why dont men leave if they arent satisfied?

a woman being bored by someone does not have reason enough to leave him
a man bored by a woman does not have reason enough to cheat on her

both of them have needs and if a man fulfills her needs and keeps her sexuality (which is of a different nature than his sexuality) in consideration then the woman wont be "bored" and therefore fulfill a man's sexual needs happily and everyone will live happily ever after.

this holds true if u believe that men cheat because of "needs"

Now, she can only provide 25 units, cuz all of a sudden, she has lost the sex drive, her hormones have been acting up, she’s been having recurring headaches, and nowadays, she is staring into the ceiling while he is at it, etc.

Frustrated, the man looks elsewhere for the remaining 25 widgets. Not all men, but a good number of men.

you forgot to mention he is going older, balder, and begins to look like his pregnant wife …reason why she’s looking at the ceiling:D:D

a man-whore is a bad influence on children. kids are better off if he leaves. otherwise they might (esp the boys) grow up thinking cheating is normal cuz of "needs"

Shweetz, i think i have figured it out. Why you and me are always at odds, even though I have an gut instinct that we are very similar in our idelogies.

Your posts are always full of “what it should be like” and" what’s the right thing to do.
My posts are are always replete with "the ground reality, " which i state without any prejudice or passion.

I dont espouse the idea of cheating. It’s repulsive to me. So, yes, i agree with you that it is detrimental for the children having an adulterous parent.
Saimanyc’ post should shed some light. She pretty much said the same things i have, except you are not arguing with her because she is a woman.
